What about all these games we lost due to missing turns, what about my precious time spent on thinking out my moves and then its all ruined bcuz shit like that, it sucks when u were about to brake somebodies bonus but then guess what, CC crashes and u lose the game to a striper, unfortunately more then one!!!
How will CC compensate???

This is what I heard from the top brass. Everyone who feels they lost a game due to the Sunday's crash should explain in 100 words or more, written in crayon on a 3x5 card their specific situation. Just stick it in the mailbox, dude will know where to take it. Assuming CC agrees with your claim (and can actually read it), they'll send you a coupon for a free ham sandwich. If you're vegan, then you can have a lettuce and mustard one instead.

He isnt saying anything about bad dice,what he is saying is that when u miss a turn it affects u and ur team very much.I am in a dubs tourney and my partner missed 7 out 8 turns in 8 games.It gave the other team an advantage.But shit happens and we all were affected by it in some way or another.There is nothing they can do about it because servers are not perfect and have flaws.So lets just move on and hope next time its the other player or team that misses the turns.

The dice comparison is, none the less, very good. People complain about the dice. What do we do? We tell them to get over it. What else do we say? We remind them that, for every person that gets hosed by the dice, somebody else gets over on that same batch and that everyone is always quick to complain about one side but not recognize the other.

Well, guess what. This is the same, exact thing. Those who got screwed by the shut down were unlucky. For every one of them, somebody else got over. Maybe, perhaps, some of the same people who got screwed this time got the better end of the deal last time this happened. Of course, that's ancient history, right?

So, I understand you want to get your boy's back, but that doesn't change the fact that this basically amounts to complaining about luck and that is always going to fall on deaf ears around these parts.

Conquer Club was down for most of the day today

My understanding of the events is this: something went wrong at the hosting company, and they switched to backup generator, which caused a problem with cooling fans, which made the temperature rise, which cased a filesystem error on our database server's, which caused the data to be corrupted and the database engine to crash. I was out of town and only became aware of this when the hosting company called me hours later, at which point they began to restore the database from a backup which thank-god was taken only about an hour before the site went down.

The game is back up, but over the next hour or so we'll be running additional repair processes on the forum data so some forum functions may not work for the next little while. The Game Logs for archived games need to be repaired - and that takes some time - so they may be missing for several days. Other than that I'm hopeful we'll have everything back up and running normally.

As for missed turns, I just added 12 hours to the round time of each active game. Unfortunately this time extension will not help everyone - if a game has already undergone an "end-of-round check" and someone missed a turn - it's too late and it can't be undone. I've never done this before so I hope there are no side-effects!

If you were in a speed game that was interrupted by the downtime, please open a support ticket from the Help page and we may delete it (reversing the points). All casual games will continue.

I'm really sorry about this. I'll keep you all posted of any developments and I'll be following this up with the hosting company and with myself to see how we can better handle such mishaps in the future.

sometimes i really hate cc, especially in occasions like this one. In this break down I lost 300 points and in 20 8-players-games I missed turn cuz of break down. Games were escalating and we were in 9th turn, and everybody who play esc knows that then u can change cards for 40 or more. Instead of winning 5-6 games and getting 300-400 points, I lost more then 300 points. It's really lousy. Sorry on complaining but i'm really pissed of
