SPAM? In game chat?!? [noted]

Someone who wasn't even involved in a game I'm in has posted SPAM in the game chat area (said to read his profile for info on how to get a free PS3; his profile had stuff about, "go to this website, give them your e-mail addy and jump through some other hoops, and they'll send you a free PS3!" type of thing). I don't know if that's strictly against the rules, but damn I think that's irritating...

Anyone else have an opinion?

I am of the opinion that if some douche tries to sell crap in game chat, every other player should engage in a truce against each other and devote their turns to eliminating the bastage. This should continue in every game they're in until CC just bans them for spamming.

Well, then they need to be found and beaten. I did have some douche try and sell all of us a re-fi on our houses in a game I was playing. Needless to say, it didn't go over very well with the others but we did stop short of running him out of the game.

Funny thing, idiot claimed he was only doing so because his boss caught him playing at work and was trying to convince him that he was "networking".

That's awesome. I would've given him the benefit of the doubt, and congratulated him on finding a way to play at work, without getting fired.

We will have a chat with someone harrassing game chats. And if it continues will do more than chat. Moved to the abuse forum so we can better keep track. However, I wouldn't classify one line as spam. If he does it in more games, let us know.
