You don't have to believe us or the moderators. Just read the evidence and follow the game logs that are listed in this thread. The proof is indisputable. You can see how his multis pave the road to his wins. Also, his win percentage is almost nonexistent when he plays without his multis. Regardless, spend some time looking at the evidence and you'll see if for yourself. Frankly, it will probably make you angry. It's that disgusting.

I can understand your feelings, I had a good buddy busted for using 'hacks' (PC or console gaming cheats) too a few years ago. Shit happens.

I can only speak for myself, but I tried to look at this objectively (after all I've never been in games with any of the delinquents). I caught up on Cisco's initial post and worked on from there. If it weren't for a lot of telltale signs - large number of public games with the same Italian players and an unusually high win percentage just to name a few - I would've made a different assessment. Furthermore I can only add that I felt inclined to 'help out' in this forum and have no authority whatsoever - the hunters are the ones to judge whether or not the accusations and presented evidence make any sense.

im in a few 6 man brigadier games w/ kidport
if he can play out his games
after point reset to 1000
his opponents (me) will get killed point wise if he wins
or win next to nothing if he loses. that doesn't seem fair or sensible
we also will have to wait for his turns to time out if he doesn't play.
that is also senseless. a better approach would be to freeze his account till all his game deadbeat
giving opponent some of there points back. then reset.
lastly I'm surprised that cc doesn't have some sort of multi recognition software
even something primitive that would sort out unusual win% .
as far as players growing suspicious of common element of player profiles saying Italy
am i correct in thinking that information was supplied by player? apparently not even
a clever cheat.

If you read the thread you will see how all of this came about. You would also notice that KIDPAT only has won two of all the private games that he's played. I'm surprised that, having played him often, you never noticed that he never won games. Finally, your potential loss or win points are minute compared to the points that he stole from many players. Keep in mind that he commonly had 2 to 3 multis in his public games. Realistically, you gained a tremendous amount, over time, by having him in your games. He was an easy fix to get points from as he was a sub par player at best.

but the amount of points he has cheated others out of
doesnt change the fact the i dont want him to get more of mine than he would have had he not been reset.
as far as noticing his won loss record he won 1 out of 12 games in which we played which in 6-8 man esc is not unusual
you seem to be implying that i have nothing to complain about as i havent been hurt as so many others have.
my displeasure with how cc implemented kidpats treatment doesnt diminish the harm done by his cheating.

I can't remember how many private games he played but it was a large number. He might have 1 of the 12 you were in but his total for all private games was 2. In other words, he was not qualified to even be in the same games which is why he won so rarely. The 2 he won were more luck than anything else. Which was sort of the point that I was trying to make. You're not in a whole lot of danger with him in the game. He has no multis and only his skill. He did not bring his multis into private games and was a low impact player at best. Look at the bright side, he could have worked you over with 2 to 3 of his multis helping him.

Unfortunately there is no good solution for anybody when this happens. The only thing that would make sense is to lock a player so he can no longer make a move and have any deliberate impact in a game. In the event of team games then his team mates would proxy his turns. The just thing would be to refund points but it's been explained to me that it would have a negative impact on the overall community.

The bottom line is that KIDPAT was just a crap player and an individual of low moral character. It is unfortunate that it took this long to catch him but we are all fortunate that it did not last any longer. The more we keep our eyes open, the less chance that players like KIDPAT can continue to take advantage of us.

You have obviously not looked at the games in question. You are defending the indefensible here. Kidpat was as guilty as you can be!!!

and not reset till cheats games are finished.

He'll probably deadbeat as he'll be too embarrassed to continue playing. I'm not sure that he can even log in as his profile has been erased.

I was the first one to mention this disparate point risk scenario in our game chat but if he is really just an artificially elite player, I have every confidence that the majors-brigs in the games I'm in with him will eat him up.

If that is indeed KidPat taking his turns in the Europe game-- it shows his lack of respect for his fellow players. Testament to his real character.

Even if he does win, couldn't see how any points would be gained or lost as 'the requested user does not exist'.

If you are busted, you lose forum rights. When this happens, your profile disappears (also happens on a forum ban), and you see "this user does not exits". You cannot join any more games, but you are allowed to finish off any games in which you are already involved.

This being a rather high profile case, I would like to chime in with a few observations.

This case was looked at by multiple people with "innocent first" being in the forefront of thought. All angles were examined and loads of game data was gone through in order to make the right judgment and also a consensus was established on the punishment that should be doled out, of which I was a part of after I examined the evidence. Innocence subtly transformed into guilt in what I came across, which then became overwhelmingly damning.

I would also like to point out that there was a block placed between KidPat and tasdevil back in March '08, so this isn't a precedent on this particular account. I'd put this in the class of "when good players go bad", with many similarities found in the jan1976, stevegriffiths23, sammy gags and dminus cases where they are people that have been on Conquer Club for quite some time and earned a sort of "internet respect" among the community at large, but were caught with their hands in the cookie jar and to the dismay of many, had to be dealt with.

He told me that he and KIDPAT were going on vacation but they would be back in September ready "to sting again." I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean but I would venture to say that they intend to return and cheat under new identities. There is no end to what these jokers will do. However, one thing is for sure, they are foolish enough to give it a try and get caught, again.

I've looked at these players as well, but as far as I could see they were not involved with KIDPAT, Sres, heyday and tasdevil. I don't think every Italian player on CC is in on this.

Note that Kidpat put me in foes list I don't know why ...

If he is still taking turns in games and every1 in that game knows he is a cheat, I suggest that every1 in the game agree to hit kidpat for 1 or 2 rounds but that he may not be taken out by any1 until the end. That would I think soon stop him from returning to his games and be a nice little send off for him
