High Ranks - I have a problem here with being insulted by other players - here is some of the abuse :

Codeblue1018- of Captain rank- game nbr 2745438 - immediately targets me in round 2 and starts insulting me verbally and 'giving' the game to the third player.
after round 1 was over, I was in control of Africa and the other 2 players might have felt I could be a threat at that point, but
this jerk's strategy is to tell me I suck and have no skill- then proceeds to give game to 3rd player. Buddy- this is not a
doubles match here - if that's what you wanted that's what you should have joined...

My 1 year membership is coming to an end in September, and due to ignoramuses I have encountered on this site I choose not to renew - and probably won't be back once my gold turns to grey. Thanks to all you jerks on my foe list who have ruined my otherwise fun experiences on conquerclub because of your power trips.

You fail to understand the point when you make stupid moves, more than likely, you are ruining the fun. Maybe it doesn't bother you because you lose so often, but to someone who values strategy, it basically takes any fun away from this site when you expect your opponent to act logically and instead they mindlessly attack whoever is next to them.

This might not apply to you specifically, but it does to a majority of the lieutenants and below. Once again, there are quite the plentiful amount of exceptions.

game # 2754845 a "brigadier " in the first round complains about the drop, tells me to sit on my dildo, and said that i am another fag on his ignore list, all in the first round.
and i might add no hello, no gl. This brigadier then misses turns and doesnt even try to win.
Check the game log and chat , this was totally unprovoked.

C.C. needs to do something about these types of players.

The mods will never do anything about abusive high rankers due to the fact that they have high ranks. They have no problem banning people who are not above 2000. Trust me I realize that people with high ranks are the most abusive players on this site, which is why I don't play with all that many bigshots anymore. Owenshooter is a good guy though.

Yet when I missed the occasional turn, everybody including the mods was all over me for it. I guess I should bring my rank up another 1000 points, that way I will be allowed to deadbeat.

I thought the reason you didn't play higher ranked players was your "ignore list" status which seemed justified considering all those "occassionally missed turns" which most players commonly refer to as deadbeating. It's interesting to see you with a 4.6 rating now wrestler1ump after the lopsided negative feedback you had accumulated on the old system. Does this mean you've changed your MO?

Verbal abusers come from all ranks and can't lumped into any category.

The point is that interwebby games should be an escapism from the crap grinding unfair aspects of life, be it racism, sexism, bullying etc. However there is a section of players on here members and non, who delight in such childish tactics. Some of them are indeed kids and must have issues in their life, others are old enough to know better but still behave like jerks.

The previous feedback system did at least allow you to judge who the real a-holes were by the dozens of negatives they'd received. Everyone now seems to be a 4 or 5 star overall but I fear it'll take a long while before the idiots receive enough 1 stars to make a difference to their overall rating. Especially when so many are thinking that 3 stars is an insult so give 5 for average players....

I've got to agree with Fabled and Owen here. While I would give somebody low ratings for such tactics in chat, and probably foe them if they managed to annoy me too much on the wrong day, I'm not going to quit CC over it. In a bit over a year I've never encountered anybody who has played well and managed to annoy me that much in chat. The one person I remember for being a horrible d-bag in the game chat got started over one of the few things I've said to another player about their strategy, or lack there-of. I can't remember what the whole thing was, but it doesn't matter. If I've managed to avoid all of these so-called "chat-jerks" who are randomly horribly abusive and possibly have a high rank then it can't be an accident you found them all. I don't know if you do stupid moves in-game, or if you do something to provoke them in chat without meaning to. Or maybe somebody says "the damned dice screwed me" and you take offense because the person said "damned." Whatever the case is, I don't think random luck is the cause.

Oh, and for the record, just because your profile says your a female, I doubt most people realize it unless you make an active effort in your games to call attention to the fact your a female. I don't think most people go around checking the profile of everybody they play. It just doesn't matter. Rank and feedback/ratings are the only things worth checking. Assuming you don't manage to tell everybody you play with that your a female, I suspect your seeing this supposed sexism exactly because people have no clue your a female and think your just "one of the guys" they can bust up on without anybody caring 5 minuets later.

Verbal abuse is a distracting tactic to get you off your game and if it gets under your skin it can easily be solved by placing the offender on your foe list. That way you no longer have to observe their rants for the duration of the game. If they really piss you off??? leave them on the list and you won't be bothered by them again.
