If we want to change the rules, we need a solution.
But it would be much harder to get him to do that, because right now, its huge!mibi wrote:Kaplowitz wrote:Is it possible to convince Lack to have the mini-map and description come up in a pop-up? we could then decrease the size of the alters, and this could actually work.

It would be much easier just to allow the image.

you're right, the non-deployables is not going to work. That was conceived before starting neutrals so I was thinking that players would start in the god spaces and I didn't want them to gain an advantage, but the whole non-deployable will not work in this case. The god and hero spaces will be replaces by neutrals and the non-deployable rule dropped.edbeard wrote:we shouldn't forget that there are XML problems with this map too
non-deployable territories don't exist at the moment.
there's no conditional auto-deploy
Also, I'm a bit confused. Zeus is 10 territories. How do you expect people to conquer the entire thing if it's non-deployable? I need to place like 20 or 30 guys onto an altar to take over the whole of Zeus.
I'd just get rid of the whole non-deployable thing anyway since we can't do that at the moment. Also it doesn't really add anything to gameplay at the moment.
Are there going to be neutral starting territories?

They're going to ignore it. Then, once it's perfected, it'll die, because there won't be any more updates.mibi wrote:shouldn't this be stamped or stickied or something... i mean, its one of the most developed maps outside of the forge.

The Trojan War was conducted in and around the city of troy. The greeks landed on the beach and then laid siege to troy for a while before using the horse to break in. There is other parts of the story that take place elsewhere but that is before or after the actual war part.InkL0sed wrote:Sorry to be ridiculously anal... but isn't this technically more a map of the Siege of Troy than of the Trojan war as a whole?
it won't be stickied or moved forward because of the size restrictions. it's the horrible truth.mibi wrote:shouldn't this be stamped or stickied or something... i mean, its one of the most developed maps outside of the forge.
