Prowler< i meant Lennon's mst recent releases before his death. Whatever they were. Utterly forgettable shite. My point was, which for some reason you can't seem to grasp, is that he had been on the wane for years as a song writer. Granted,McCartney too. and fair enough really -you can't keep writing the classics forever, unless you are Mozza, and get new songwriting partners

I hitch-hiked once with a trucker who said he was a drinking budy of Paul Heaton's. WHatever happened tohim (Paul Heaton not the trucker)?

I once met Neil Kinnock at a Dory Previn concert. He was quite a nice guy, and didn't expect to be served first at the bar, or any special treatment.

I also met Robert Mugabe, i stayed at the same hotel as him in 1980 in the Edgeware Road for several days. He did expect special treatment, and his guards would push anyone else out of the way whenever he wanted the lift.

Not sure if I was making a point there - just random memories.

Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin (double album epitomizing their entire career)
Alchemy - Dire Straits (live double album that expresses Knopfler's guitar skills)
Suffer - Bad Religion (tempted to put the All Ages album here)
American Idiot - Green Day (the state of american alt-punk rock, band will probably never live up to their potential)
Appetite for Destruction - Guns and Roses (hate 'em or love 'em, this album fucking rocks)
Lonesome Jubliee - John Mellencamp (so many to choose from, Uh-huh or Whenever We Wanted, but LJ is classic americana)
Born to Run - Springsteen (Jersey boy tour de force before patriotism of Born in USA made me want to barf)
Excitable Boy - Warren Zevon (articulate, musically adventurous, tempted to leave this out because of the Jackson Browne influence)
Lovesick, Broke and Driftin - Hank Williams III (harsh country album from a punk/country rebel)
Wish You were Here - Pink Floyd (more moving to me than Dark Side or Wall, not technically great, but one of my favorites)
John Prine - John Prine (Country/folk at its best without the distraction of Dylan)

After spending 7 hours today churning through my Ipod to make it play nice with my new receiver, I think that I am having second thoughts about "Alchemy" by Dire Straits, and as such, add "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morrison in its stead.
