Christ Southend...the seaside town, that they forgot to close down..what a shithole!

Well, bit harsh perhaps...the pier used to be great, especially for pretending to be Arthur Daley

I would like you all to know that I am on chapter 7 of my story and have written about 150 pages. Still a long way from being complete, but I feel good about what I have now.

NOt that harsh, but I grew up in Basildon, thinking of Southend as "posh"...

Latest update, the hotel lost our reservations ("...oh, it came in on the computer, I never look at that...")and it's cold and wet.

Yeah, I imagine that by the time I've written every chapter and gone back over to change what I don't like it will probably be around 450 pages, maybe more.

Are you shitting me? I love the rain. Why the hell does rain have to be "miserable"? It's just water, for Christ's sake. I live in Northwest Washington, and I don't give a shit if I get wet for a little bit. I go out in the woods in the sun, and I'll go out in the woods in the rain. As soon as I get home, I get dry -- no harm done. You get sweaty and smelly in the sun.
