Easter Promises - man that movie started out with everything. The first 3/4 of the movie was like watching a modern, no holds barred version of Donnie Brasco. The fight in the bath house I was reminded of a line from Drawing of the Three about what you can tell how a man fights in a specific situation. Then it just died. It was like they ran out of film, or someone just said, hey guys, 3/4 of an excellent movie is enough today, we don't need to worry about the ending, and so it went. Hang your head, hollywood. Dan Day Lewis was good in There Will Be Blood, but still Vigo was robbed of an Oscar all the same. An all around clusterf*ck of a potentially great movie by Hollywood!

to this i say meh. 3/4 of that movie was good enough not to end up on a list like this.

Blair Witch Project is the WORST movie I ever tried to watch. The hype surrounding it was very high, but that shit put me AND my ex-gf to sleep in about 20 minutes. Luckily we were just watching it while lying on the couch at her house with some friends that had brought it over so didn't waste any money on it.

I hate people that don't appreciate Napoleon Dynamite. I don't understand how you could possibly not like it...

The humor is not really mainstream and tends to be associated with the younger generation. Really, the only part that stood out to me was when they had the fight with the oranges or whatever it was. That scene cracked me up for some reason.

By younger generation, I suppose you mean people about my age. Though most of my friends agreed that it was a horrible movie, though a few others thought it was the greatest since, sliced bread?

I have not seen it either, but if the following anecdote is any guide: I had a professor stop in the middle of his lecture one day and just start lashing into how bad this movie was, and how he wanted the 90 minutes of his life back ... then stay away!

And now for a change up: Space Jam. Perhaps lacking in the "supposed to be good" department, but it was certainly given quite a bit of hype. After seeing that, it was clear that MJ was headed for a downward spiral.
