The most absurd thing you've ever pulled off in CC

Never mind that me winning a game is pretty absurd as it is. =)

But we've all had That Game, the one where you won due to some sort of divine intervention, the one where you played like a complete idiot and pulled it out, the one where you went against your instincts and came out on top. The game where the ratings stars came up and your soul was screaming "BOOyah!" while you punched the air.

What was that moment, that game, for you?

My most recent moment: Game 2682431, the Arms Race game where both sides nuked each other off each other's homeland, and I had one army left on the launch platform...and he couldn't finish it off with six guys to my one. And I had a set! So on we went a few rounds more, trying to march up the missile. All I could visualize was the last two humans alive trying to finish the war. And amazingly, defying all logic and reason, I survived.

i recently had a game on feudal that i lost on a bonehead move...

i had a territ on lake ministello w/ like 25, my enemy had the bordering territ with like 25

i got a set, and had a pretty good amount of men coming my way, as did he, but without the set

i accidentally placed on a castle in my haste, and lost the game.

I've had games like that, but I don't remember them. They all kinda blend together... well, except for the first few I ever played.

Game on mongol empire where I started second and was able to take down the area my opponent has fort'd to so that all he had left there were 1's ... all by attacking them down all from a solitary 6 position...

On the other hand it was probably only about 4 straight 2-0 rolls, which happens fairly a lot, but that early in the game it was very demoralizing to the other guy.

Yet, I can think of innumerable games where I have been the victim of being both massively screwed (i.e., 12-1 for take out w/ esc cards, roll out 0-12) and marginally screwed (being on the brink an needing that one 5-3 roll to go in order to get the resource pair in AoR, and failing in THREE SUCCESSIVE TURNS!) by dice.

I can also think of innumerable games where I have been massively screwed by the drop (I'm not talking a +1 or +2 opponent advantage, I'm talking Seige! where the other guy has +3 throne + hall / tunnel and all blocked by a wall of 6 neutrals.... I'm talking Actium where the other guy gets a ship on the first move, blocked in by a wall of neutrals...

All absurd.

Most recently I pulled my usual dumb ass feudal deploy where I put down 30 guys on Northern Plains 5 instead of Lake Minostor 5. And it was adjacent fort!

The player 2 before me tried to take me out for my 3 cards. turn in around 40 men (escalating of course. A player was kicked earlier for missing turns had 6 men and 2 cards, but mine was needed for the turn in he did not make it. I had 2 men left and the awol player's 2territory and 6 men were both next to my 1 territory and 2 men. deployed 3 on my only territory rolled very slowly. lost none took both. & won the game!!!

doodle 1 on 1, kid eliminated me from everywhere on the map except oz, he held africa bonus, neutral on china. built up for five turns and then came at me, got rolled on the neutral and 20 glorious rounds later i won.

In my second game or so, #608340, I was conquered down to one territory, then came back later and wiped the floor with the other players.

Also, in game #1517598, I lost my teammate, and fought off all of the others until I won.

I've had some crazy victories and some tough beats, but weirdly enough, the one "pulled that one completely out of my ass" CC moment that will always resonate with me (and bring a smile to my face) was orchestrating the final victory in autoload's 19-player mafia game way back in the day. About six things had to go perfectly, and they did.

I somehow don't believe that. Mine is a mafia game too. IT was one of MAndy's rt's and I decided to play stupidy. I was cop, claimed jester day 1, faked a cop report(by claiming cop) day 2 (instead of my real one) and got lynched. Then, I replaced someone and made the right block to win. Something like that.

Divine intervention had to have been the game where Slom was either purposely making crap moves at me, or as he said "was afk for the entire round answering a PM." So I gave him 4 minutes and 30 seconds to make up for it, and he attacks me instead, so I get pissed and deploy 3 armies on a 3 territory, auto his 15 armies, and win with 3-4 armies left over.

Still lost the game because another player ended up making retard moves so I suicided him even though I could have still potentially won.

Had 5 armies on an artillery in a Waterloo game and annihilated 9 territories with 2,3,3,3,2,3,3,3,3 = 25 armies. Had 4 left on the art and no more to aim for... sigh. Yea I had 25-1.

If you recall, this was the game where you got lynched because you didn't quite sell your role as the inventor, right after vgmmaster suicide bombed houssam (the cop), coming off a nightkill of supercram (who was the double voter)... t'was my first time as scum, and I like to think I acquitted myself well.Goooood times.
