IF halo 2 can beat the gameplay on the ps3, why dont you buy an xbox?
WHO CARES IF IT HAS BLUERAY or graphics that look real if its gonna cost $350 more than Wii, which has fun, simple games.
and the PS3 is not like a computer. go load a CPU game on your PS3 and see how it does.

um... yes it does.

by made fun of do you mean it appeared in an episode? if so then the 360's done that too.

PS3 has backwards compatibility issues (some 200 games are not supported), and the sixaxis controller is a shameless function that won't be utilized in all games (not to mention the lack of rumble).

The PS3 sucks, it is just as much new technology as they could shove into that little box, and as far as games most titles they release for it are released for the XBOX 360, or at least it was like that with the previos two, and the Wii is still a better system than either of them

That is BS. The games you can play on the ps3 even if they look lame while you are playing them are so sweet. I played some bullshit monster truck racing game today at the target, and I thought it'd be lame but it was pretty much the best game I've played ever.

The conversation is on the better system, not the games. I'll admit that the Wii doesn't have as good of games, and its fact that the graphics aren't as good, but if I were to go get one of the three I'd get the Wii, its just better.

Sony is fixing the backwards compatability issue and will release a patch soon. As far as the lack of rumble pack, i'm probably going to miss it. You dont' notice the rumble pack until its gone (and about ten years ago when it first arrived and you had to plug it in the back of your N64 controller, good times...)

I got to play a ps3 at Walmart !!! I played an nba game. I normally hate basketball but I played that instead of the monster truck game. That was so much better than anything I'v played with the exception of a few of my very dearest games. Even though I lost 40 to 12 It was amazing watch shaq slam dunk in HD amazingness. Every shot I made was just exilirating. PS3 is soooooo much better.

Who wants Billy and mandy on the WII anyway. The wii is like a gamecube 1.5.

Although i prefer the ps3, i woulnt call the wii a gc 1.5 its something completly differnt...but i do believe that people are only buying it because its "differnt" people will soon get bored of the same type of games where you always do the same thing...Games that dont really have any plot
Would you choose supremecy if it lead to isolation?

In terms of hardware. The graphics are like a GC 1.5 IMO. The controller makes it different but without that its just a gamecube v.1.5

Chrome-whore. :P

Graphics are what's there to distract you from the fact that the games you're playing (with a few notable exceptions [MGS4]) are derivations of the same games that have already been released.

In the old days, we'd call them clones. Halo is a Half-Life clone, Resistance: Fall of Man is a WWII shooter clone with Killzone-esque weaponry.

The Wii, on the other hand, has games that are either innovative from the start (Wario Ware, Wii Sports), new takes on classic series (LoZ: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, etc.) or are completely new uses of technology to achieve great gaming (Call of Duty 3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance).

If you need pretty graphics to keep you engaged in gaming, maybe you shouldn't buy a Wii.

35 percent of the sony systems dont have backwards compatability issues to begin with.... they noticed halfway through production and patched some of them.. its not clearly defined which ones do and dont though I believe..

as for the person who played at walmart that nba game is freaking amazing but unlike you I won 34-30... the monster truck racing game is amazing to and utilizes motion sensors and it is terrific. Did anyone play that third demo?

VIVA PINATA !!!!!

Not all games with good graphics suck. I mean cmon. You cant be "hatin" because it looks pretty so your excuse is the only thing about the game is the graphics.

A note to rev. kyle.

I didnt figure out how to shoot any 3 pointers untill I noticed the arch bar.

True, but not all games with good graphics are "OMG t3h AWESOME!!!!11!1" either. Every system has its blockbusters and its failures as well as those that revel in mediocrity.

I own a gaming rig, and I like high quality in my graphics *hugs my computer*

However, I'm not going to spend $150-250 more dollars + Online fees, attachments, add-ons, shipping for repairs, and my time downloading patches for problems that shouldn't exist. What sold the PS2 was that it was a complete package right out of the box, and unlike many, many others mine didn't have the dreaded read error.

The PS3 and the 360 have a few blockbuster games to justify their high price point "Oh you gotta get a 360 so you can play Gears of War" "Oh, get a PS3, Resistance looks soooooo cool!"

I prefer "Hey, get a Wii, Nintendo has been making game systems since the 1960s, they have their act together."

Sony doesn't:
They've got sales issues: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15854413/
They've got technical problems that involve blaming the consumer's TV: http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/news/?id=14518
And they're losing exclusives: http://www.totalvideogames.com/news/Koe ... 6341_0.htm
They also don't care that they design flawed electronics: http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?si ... 07&tid=212
Oh, and don't forget their rootkit fiasco from not too far back.

Forgive me if this reminds me of the Titanic.

then by how some of you see it, if there was a game where there was a small circle in a forest that looked amazingly realistic, with a person that you controlled that was also amazingly realistic, and all you could do was have the person walk around inside the circle, then that would be a good game? it has good graphics

If you remember math class, this symbol "<" represents "less than"

Translation of his statement: Graphics are less important than gameplay.

I suggest you go back to your school and demand that they prepare you better for the world.

If there was anything that had to do with Pinata's for the wii, I would expect to be able to swing the controller at the pinata and kill it. Sounds like a good excuse for a Wario-Ware minigame, though.
