There's freedom of speech, but there are limits. Just as in any society. Racism is unacceptable, for example.
And its not quite the same anyway, becuase this is a privately owned web site. If Lack wants to kick people off, he can.
My beef has been that as paying customers, it would be good if we had more say.
But just as a manager of a restaurant can ask you to leave, the same goes here.

Also, on a practical level, the more we cry "REVOULTION!", the more they will dig in-they have to.
After all, say they gave wickeds job back to her now-what message does that send? It says "OK guys, if you behave really badly, we'll do what you want" -and that would result in anarchy.
So, I suggest if we want to change anything, we try reassoned debate, with the acknowledgement that ultimately we have to suck it up if we dont like the result, as we're not shareholders.

thanks for having my back there Owen, as I am getting flamed for no reason. I also have been preaching the "nothing can really be done about it" Mantra and that members don't have a say in staffing decisions. Basically you can link the whole forum where I have said that repeatedly.,

Bare-assed women never hurt anyone. Lyme is a disease. I'm not one of those overly-sensitive religious worriers, and "offended" doesn't describe what I said. I just have a low opinion of someone who chooses to make fun of a serious disease, especially one that is affecting my family. And don't think you're oh-so-clever just because you know how to be subtle and sarcastic with your insults. It makes you no less of an asshole than if you said it outright. I now remember that you're the reason I left GD a while ago, and generally don't hang out here. Though I may agree with you on things often, the way you need to assert yourself by being King of the Online Forum all the time is as annoying as it is laughable. Most of the BpB's seem pretty cool, but they don't have the complex you appear to have. I'll leave your "turf" now; I'm sure I won't be missed.

I'm not very appreciative in the manner people have expressed their dislike of the avatar, but I gotta say that I feel that somehow its stepping over a line somewhere. And not because I feel one way or the other on the "revolution".

I do admit that I am ashamed to ever have been associated with the spamming and trolling "revolution"... I'm glad that I pulled out as soon as I did. Frankly, what I finally realized is that wicked was just manipulating everyone and actually inciting the ruckus, even despite the fact that she admits to not wanting the job back. It's good to see that brett and you have a more reasonable background to your actions.
