DEATH RACE 2000!

So I went on another leg of my vacation, a 7 hours drive across the top of New England and I came up with another great idea.

Race track type maps have been tried before with no results to speak of. However the system I have developed will work great in mimicing the fun, excitement and realism of a race. This particular map is called DEATH RACE 2000 because it will not be a nascar type loop. It will be a first to the finish line objective map. With all the current xml features I will simulate the need for gas, car upgrades, pit stops, and all manner of obstacles and brutality that make for a good DEATH RACE!

This map will be really fun and speically on teams where teams will have to work together to try and sling one car to the end.

It's going to be great, who wants to do the xml?

Also, i probably won't have time to put up a draft for a week or so.

You mean you want to make something like this? That one is abandoned, I think, but the creator is still active in the forums.

Yep, it would be somewhat similar to that, although different is all the mechanics.

yeah, i was gonna say, the other one was more like a mario kart type thing where there were abilities such as bombarding etc rather than just purely bonuses, which is what i'm picturing mibi's map to be like.

they'd be like resources, cuz gas would give you x armies or something...

unless i'm picturing this all wrong in my mind... which is very possible

well in my map, every map territory is a -1 auto deploy. so if you leave a trail of 3-1-1-1 then your next turn will be 2-0-0-0 the 0's revert back to neutral. This isn't currently possible with the current xml and will require an additional rule to go beyond 1. But it simulates gas well, if you don't have at least "2" in your tank at the end of your turn, your own of gas, and dead. though in my map, players won't be able to kill off other players, just send them back to the beginning.
