I AM 22 YEARS OLD!

So I'm flipping through my High School year-book, and I spot a pic of my girlfriend. Yup, we're still together. Anyway, I'm looking at this picture and I'm like "dang, can't fault me there, she was HOT!" Then it hits me, HARD, she's 15 in the picture.... A week away from her 16th..... and I got this gross feeling....
Does thinking my girlfriend was hot when she was 15 & 9/10 make me a some type of pervert? For the record, we had just started dating then.

I asked her this same question, and she said no..... but I can't even look at her right now..... I feel like some type of disgusting monster.... I might go stay with some relatives or something....

Whatever... no. Maybe it's because I'm still only 18... but at 15 (and you said she's 16) she was pretty much fully developed. That's hardly pedo. 16 is only 2 years under the "legal" age... and there are many 16 year olds that look older than some 18 year olds.

At 22? Naw... At 40 with a daughter of your own? Ya... At 80? No, people expect if of you then. And I mean, really... She was TWO YEARS away from 18.

The thing with women, is that often girls have the same nice bits that their adult counterparts do. You're a pedophile if you're into flat chests and innocence, otherwise it doesn't really mean anything.

Ya know, Juan, the "legal" age varies from place to place. And time to time. IN the UK, consenting sex at 16 is OK, and you can even marry at 16 with parental consent. I don't know if the age of consent varies from state to state in the US?

And in any case, no, finding a physically mature and sexy person, well, sexy, is OK. Doing something about it is where you get into trouble.

I've been informed that the age does vary state to state, though my informants are not always reliable. I hear it's seventeen here in Georgia...

Here in Illinois the age of consent is 18. Anything under that is statutory rape. The state prosecutes, so the "rapee" doesn't have to even wish to press charges. Neither does their parents. If you're caught, you're doing time.

American law states that any citizens oversees can have sex with anyone, but not if they are under the age of 16. Whether its the age of consent or not.

If you actually had sex with a sixteen-year old, that would be bad. But it's okay to feel attracted to someone who's sixteen (which is fully mature, with females), especially if they look just like your current girlfriend. You wouldn't actually try to have sex with someone that young, which is what makes you not a pedophile. Relax, man, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you.
