Tony Stark was given alot of obstacles throughout his life some of them being
alchaholism
heart problems
paralyzed
also he was a playboy who acted without thought of repercussions.

As the comic progresses he learns to overcome these obstacles to become a better person, a protector of all people. Ironman teaches kids that it's possible to turn our life around and overcome obstacles that seem impossible.

Other Marvel comics like this include
X-men (dealing with adversity)
Spiderman (with great power comes great responsability)
the Hulk (self control)
and i'm sure there's others i'm not thinking of

and his current problem, being a skrull whose tech is involved in the defence of the entire world and has gone over to the enemy. No sweat, just the small stuff.

He's not a skrull because that would just be too easy of a cop out for marvel..

Not gonna say anything in particuler, just throw a few names in and wait for discussion (and more names)
Will Eisner
Alan Moore
Frank Miller
Robert Kirkman
Stan Lee
Alan Davis

I'll add a few more names in a while, and head down some other trails with them.

Robert Kirkman.... Anyone read Marvel Zombies? Disappointing story, nice artwork. It was funny when Wolveriens arm ripped off though. Also, when Iron Man was blated in two. Also, seriously, did everyone just collect it? Also, someone please give me The Walking Dead series. Thank you. Me like Kirkman.

Frank Miller.... I bet everything he writes gets examined by every studio in Hollywood now. I have read none of his stuff because the local bookstore sells his novels for $45. Screw that...

Stan Lee.... No discussion needed, right? Mallrats sealed his fame.... :D Funny cameo in Spider-Man III also. I think I was the only one in the theater who new who he was...

yes, he was a security guard. Stan Lee appears in all of the marvel movies, atleast all of the recent ones, older ones like nick furry-agent of shield, and the unreleased original fantastic 4 (funniest thing ever) I'm not sure about
