Yes, that is exactly the site that I was referencing. So every player would have two sets of scores, one that keeps track of your overall record, and another that resets at the beginning of each month. This monthly score always starts out at 1000 (I think it was 1200 at the other site) so it also keeps track of hot and cold streaks, in a manner (e.g., John Doe maybe really awesome with an overall score of 3000, but if he's having an off month, he may have a monthly score of 700, while perhaps Jack Doe is an average player with a score of 1100, but is having a good month and has a monthly score of 1500).AK_iceman wrote:I think he is referring to WaW, and the basic idea is that they have a regular scoreboard, like we have here, that keeps track of your total points from the time you started. And then they have a monthly scoreboard that resets at the beginning of each month.
The 6 highest on the monthly scoreboard would then have a game to determine the winner.
I think this is what he meant, might need clarification.
Check my quote out regarding the 2500 point player, but another player accurately represented it. As for who the player of the month would be... the way WaW has it is whoever got the most points in the monthly scoreboard was the player of the month, regardless of the who won the champions game (the 6 top players of that month). A case could be made that whoever WON the champions game would be the player of the month, just have to put it out there as a vote or something.Dlakavi wrote:If you want you can organize it, i think you would have a good responce.
You didnt say how do we determine who is the player of the month
It would be impossible hard for a 2500 point player to be a player of the month because if he can keep a score static it is a great thing, while a 700 point player can get 200 points from a single game
If you think about it, this system is fair for everyone. Low point or high point players, EVERYONE starts at 1000 points each month so they would be receiving the same amount of points for games. The points would be computed separately from the total points scoreboard, so it's a fair system even for new players.Rogi wrote:Only problem with this is that the premium low score players will have a major advantage over the non-premium or high score players.
But hell it's just a game.

Yeah, I agree with how the champions game should be played. It's how they do it on the other site and seems to work. And I know someone mentioned that it should be a 3 or 4 game series, but that seems a little extreme to me. Maybe save that for Player of the Year!Rogi wrote:Great suggestion.
I think the player of the month should be whoever wins the 6-man standard of the top 6 players that month.
Why?
Cos everyone plays doubles or triples games not just standards and their points increase whatever the gameplay is.
So, the player of the month should be the one who wins a standard 6 game.
Now the question is should it be freestyle,seq,unlimited,flat,esc,etc...
My suggestion is it should be a seq, unlimited, escalating.
