In a lost age, the world is divided into four nations: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Within each nation, there is a remarkable order of men and women called the "benders" who can learn to harness their inborn talent and manipulate their native element. Bending is a powerful form combining martial art and elemental magic. In each generation, only one bender is solely capable of controlling all four elements. That bender is the Avatar. The Avatar is the spirit of the world manifests in human form. When the Avatar dies, it reincarnates into the next nation in the cycle. Starting with the mastery of his or her native element, the Avatar learns to bend all four elements. Throughout the ages, the countless incarnations of the Avatar have served to keep the four nations in harmony. Then, the firebenders attacked. Just as the world needed the Avatar the most, he mysteriously vanished. A hundred years later, the Fire Nation is near final victory in its ruthless war of world domination. The Air Nomads were destroyed, the Air Temples ravished, and all airbender monks eradicated. The Water Tribes were raided and driven to the brink of extinction. The Earth Kingdom remains and fights a hopeless war against the Fire Nation. Many believe the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads and the cycle is broken. In the desolated South Pole, a lone Water tribe struggles to survive. It is here that the village's last remaining waterbender Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange 12-year-old boy named Aang who has been suspended in hibernation in an iceberg. The Water tribe soon discovers that Aang is not only an Airbender--the extinct race no one has seen in a century--but also the long lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard the child Avatar in his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

Game features:
  • 20 players
  • Based on the Avatar anime that aired its last episode recently
  • Storyline follows the Anime and has some set events influencing night-actions
  • Set-up reviewed by LSU Tiger Josh (thanks Josh!)
  • Long days (there will be no deadlines unless I find the game to be stalling too much)
  • Not a non-vanilla game
  • No cult or changing win-conditions
  • Scum are given safe-claims
  • Game will start approx. August 15th.

Flores, ace, cmckinney and tonka are in.

Animorph, I put you down on the replacements list. You did alright in the last game I modded, but Godfather mafia - where you PM'd me even though the recruitment failed - has shown me you're not ready to take on a game more advanced, and this is such a game.

He wasn't told it was a success either... like previous recruitments where he was told the players role and the success of the recruitment. Morale of the story, I'm a retard.

Yeah I know the full story. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like ani and I don't think he's stupid or something like that. I just don't think that a game that's not a basic setup is suitable for him yet. I also noticed some time ago that a certain user called animorpherv1 was modkilled in a game at mafiascum for quoting his role PM. The fact that he makes mistakes like that also weighted in my decision. I'm not blacklisting him for all my games, I just don't want him in this game at this time.

Masket is in. I'll put Skittles down as a replacement.

I'm in one game and signed up for two others, both of which are stalling. So in.

Animorph, if you have a problem with me, take it to flame wars and I'll destroy you. You have insulted me/made comments about me in several threads now completely unfoundedly and I've ignored it as of so far because you don't appear on my radar but if you continue to do so, wage complete war against me in flame wars or sit down and shut the f*ck up because these little back-biting bitchy comments are starting to make me angry.

Not to break up the pillow fight going on here or anything, but I have some news.
Apparently M.Night Shymalan - what a bastard name - wants to make a movie version of Avatar. Who remember Lady in the Water? Anyone?

 Who's more at fault, the mod who forgets to send a pm or the moron who assumes he recruited successfully someone without having been told so and after several failed attempts?

In other news, we just started grabbing this one, but with 3 seasons to watch I hope the signups will be a bit slow
