It's happened before.

I saw a huge twister in Queens once, like a decade ago. It was nuts.

And I mean huge by NYC standards. It was nothing compared to middle America.

The wind is already blowing really hard outside.

I heard this briefly on the news "...and STAY INDOORS..." - freaky

Wanna go play frisbee?

I've got a new kite I wanted to try out too.

Dude, you need to go to the Army Navy store like I did and get a deep sea diving suit.

I figure that tornadoes are probably the same thing as deep sea diving, so I've got all the protection I need.

You'll be dead without an eye patch, otherwise, good plan.

Yeah...scary. We only get like 30 a summer here.

Maybe from a mile or two away, when you are heading to your basement/room in the middle of the house.

Tornadoes blow, pun intended. I've had more than enough close calls to have my fill of them.

Don't you hate that moving avvys don't work here?

And I thought tornadoes sucked.

Both, really. And hell yes I do. It still works though. Like he's staring off...

I used to think it would be really cool to see a tornado when I was younger. I've been in 2 tornadoes in the last 3 years, and had quite a few come within 2 miles of me. The first one hit the building I was working in, the second blew my car off the road on my way to work. (I think mother nature wants me to find a new job.) All things considered, if I never see another one I'll be pretty happy. Although it is kinda cool watching the debris just before you realize its not going to go around you and you haven't got time to run. At that point I didn't have anywhere to run even if I did have the time. Then you get the mother of all adrenaline rushes as you have a near life experience.

Unfortunately, it doesn't come anywhere close to making up for the pain of convincing the insurance company that you didn't go get your car torn up by a tornado on purpose, for a second time. They refused to pay until I got a police report saying that it was an act of nature.
