I have no personal grudge against Maxatstuy so am simply posting what I know about the situation;

Recently I posted out some invites for Brigadier + escalating games, one of the invites was to Max. Seperately I posted a PM to Paddy The Cat ( who I have played a great deal and get on well with ) jokingly telling him to get his arse into gear and get his points up a bit so I could send him future invites. Within 24 hours I got a PM from Max saying that I should invite Paddy to my games ( wtf ! ), now it is not difficult to put 2+ 2 together and come to the conclusion that max fancied playing in some of my games but wanted to do so playing Paddys account( because max will not risk points himself )
My conjecture is that Max wants all the advantages of the site ( different opponents,maps,playing styles ) but unlike everybody else he is not prepared to sacrifice his precious points to achieve these goals. There may be more sinister implications to what he does but I really dont know, what I care about is knowing exactly who I am going to be playing when I send out an invite and its sad that I now have to foe an old friend like Paddy because I dont know if its him that will turn up for a game.

It's quite unfortunate that Paddy got mixed up in all this. Like Poo stated- and I tend to agree that he may have known it was wrong but turned a blind eye so Max could reach his goals. Of course the Paddy I've come to know, isn't one to do that, he's extremely respectful and of good character.

According to chat in this game, it certainly doesn't even sound like Paddy.

and comic, when you sent me an invite into your games, i said no because i didnt want to lose the points and tbh, i dont think I would do very well in that style of games. I have played for paddy in the past, when he was away for a few days, and after playing a few of those style games, I asked king to play the rest because I was tired of messing up games for him...I said that i was playing for him in the game chat of all of those games if you are interested in finding them. I dont play for paddy anymore because there hasnt been a need for me to play. I still watch his games to make sure he doesnt miss, but I havent had to jump in for him in months. The reason why I asked you to send him an invite wasnt so that I could play for him; it was because paddy is one of my best friends on conquerclub and I know that he enjoys playing those type of games. Im sorry if you feel I will end up playing for him, but I dont do that. Despite what scott and bruce would have you believe, I play for my friends because I want them to do well and have fun...not because i want to play their games. Paddy is one of the nicest people on conquerclub and if you would seriously not let him join your games because of the crap scott and bruce spew in the forums, I guess I thought too highly of you

Well Max in two games now, you've admitted that you were in fact on the site taking Paddy's turns. In the same breath and during the same time, you have Assassin taking your turns. That's account sitting abuse- you had someone take your turn so you could both play at the same time in a freestyle game. You just quoted me the rules, so once again, you are aware of the rules but choose to neglect them.

You can, with the stipulation that the account babysitter is not your opponent in any current game and does not start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence. Furthermore, you should only take another player's turn if they are in danger of missing a turn, not for the purpose of gaining a tactical advantage.

When you had Elistuy and Assassin07 take your turns while you took Paddy's- that's gross abuse... what I have in bold from your post. I haven't gone through all of your games yet, but if I did, I would expect to find more of the same examples.

i played for paddy a couple months ago was not in reference to our doubles games...it is in reference to the 60+ games he was in...none of which include doubles games because we werent in any at the time

I have no problem playing for my friends whenever I am needed, but I dont know where you are referring to where I said I played for paddy in out doubs games, and where it says that doing so isnt allowed

Since it has come to my attention that I havent answered the question as to why I played for Paddy while my brother played for me, here is my answer

at the time when I was playing on paddys account, I was unsure whether It was against the rules to play for a teammate, seeing as a new set of rules was floating about the forum and I was unsure if they were in effect, so instead of playing for both paddy and I, I took over for paddy and let my brother play for me. Paddy trusted me with his password and it wouldnt have been right to give it away to anyone else...my brother or someone else, it wasnt mine to give away. I thought that doing that was the best compromise since it was still only one person (not in the game) playing for someone in the game

I have made no judgements but until this thing is cleared up I will simply remain cautious, the fact is that at the moment I have no idea if my recent correspondence has been with paddy or you - Im afraid your word alone is not sufficient to allay my concern. I do not understand what i did that was wrong or against the rules. Looking over the rules, there was nothing against playing for your teammate, and I never once played without it being a necessity. While I understand you are getting your information from this thread, I would consider talking to Paddy or King before passing judgment on me as a player.

In case you havent cared enough to even check all of the links which Bruce has supplied, in every game I played for paddy, I announced that it was me playing. I didnt deceive everyone else or even play secretly, I said "maxatstuy in for Paddy The Cat"...just because I babysat his account doesnt mean that I went on his account and started conversations with everyone I knew. Your suggestions are pitiful, and I feel sorry that would be so cynical as to believe that someone could do that to a friend.

Guilty or worried people often lash out, never works , simply makes them look more guilty. The bottom line is that whatever you or anybody else says the matter is in the hands of the mods, it is they who will decide if what you have been doing is accectable. Ha, of course not Sirius, the public can make up their own mind. That is my honest opinion. The damning evidence you so refer to was brought upon by the 'dislike' of another player on CC in the fact that Max defended himself in a Flame Wars thread.
I say yet again, the evidence available is distorted and is more a matter of opnion then a matter of fact.

People ask fellow gamers to sit so they do not deadbeat games, what Max was doing was a service to the other player and is perfectly legal within the rules.

And yet you ask the question did I start any games with the account I was baby sitting. No I didn't I took their turns I didn't start any games. Please refer me to a game that Max set up on another account. Unless I didn't read all of Bruce's post in detail he never once accused him of that. The closest there has been was he took all the turns for his brother in one or 2 games where he joined and lost interest...

And even then, you only need look to my sitter (DAT_WAT_SHE_SAID) for my summer holiday to see many of my games started before I went he played all the way through just because of the length of break I was taking (3 weeks). Please tell me where the abuse is, he never started a game on my account but he did end up taking 90% of the turns in most games and as such winning most of them.

So Sirius, when you post your comeback, think again and come back after looking at the actual facts available to you.

We all have account sat at one time or another if they're on vacation , work, have plans or whatever. It seems the situation with Max isn't about account sitting, it's about abusing it- it's about taking your partners turns when it's conventient. There's quite a big edge in casual freestyle team games if both partners are able to play at the same time. What Bruce is suggesting, and I believe also, is that Max is taking those turns for his doubles partners because they just aren't logged in at the time. There's also a complaint about a secret alliance LF.

The Secret Alliance Scott was put in on the first game Max ever played, lol, anyone could do what Bruce did to Max, which is put a load of accusations supported by a load of games only barely supporting the point he is trying to prove. Many of the games exist just to show a particular quote like 'Me and Max share eachothers p/w's) well tbh Scott, if my partner couldn't get on for the day for whatever reason surely I would help him/her by taking his/her turns?

Now luckily I have never had to take turns for 2 players at the same time because I coordinate timings with my friends but I can't see where the abuse is. Unless you can show me a quote where Max admits to taking Casual Freestyle turns back to back (or at the same time) with his partner there is no solid proof that he is guilty of baby sitting abuse.
Furthermore the comment that they know eachothers passwords doesn't really mean anything... I have some passwords for various accounts... that is just so they can send me a pm and I will in turn take their turns for them... Where's the abuse in that.

Even yesterday Scott, you and Rashid took 55 seconds to fortify a couple of armies... in your second game with LBNinja and Jeff Hardy to work out strategy, Who knows, perhaps Max was doing the same?

Erm, did Max join any of those games? Or did he just think that Paddy might want to play?
Its not like he joined games as Paddy just automatically, I am sure that Paddy realises what is happening to his account and would change his password if severe abuse was being done.

max is guilty, i was in the chat last night reading what was going on. he admitted to hardy that he finished speed games for other people and enjoyed winning. if thats not gross abuse i dont know what is, if you cant finish a speed game yourself then you lose. simple as that

Just to clarify, not trying to argue against you...none the games in question that Max is being accused of are speed games, I believe. And the games you are talking about with Scott and Rashid, those were speed games. It's completely different when you have 5 minutes to take a turn and when you have 24 hours. Bruce was pointing out how suspicious the order of turns was in many of these games. Since no one can see the game chat except for Max and his partner, we have no way of knowing what was going on.

I have went over everyone of the game numbers which bruce had listed and commented on each

1. Stated paddy was in a speed game so that team 1 would understand the delay

I have played for many people on conquerclub as I have stated, if you are going to tell me that when playing for someone, you are supposed to lose, you may as well let them deadbeat. I finished up many speed games for people not because I enjoy winning for them, but because they had to leave for what ever reason. I seriously doubt however that they would ask me to play for them if I didnt try to win every game I played

and to answer the comments about those two links mentioned, 7 and 8, when I played for paddy in those games, they had just created some new rules which were going about the forum and which stated (at least I thought) that you couldnt play play for your teammate. Paddy was missing his turn however so I took over for him because no one else was online who knew his pw. Since I didnt want to tell anyone what his password was, I decided that someone playing for paddy, and me playing for myself, is the same thing as me playing for paddy, and someone else playing for me. That way it wasnt breaking the rules and I didnt have to tell anyone else his password
