Nothing is more frustrating than signing onto and looking forward to a competitive team game than to have a lower-rated and less-experienced player join your team, at the last minute, and make the game less competitive and interesting.
Maybe a final acceptance step could be afforded all players before the game commences. Less experienced players would have the same opportunity to opt out if, in the end, a ringer joins the other team, making the game unfair.
This would, likely, encourage players to add their name to pending games, which teams are not already decided, and reduce the number of games in waiting with 2 or 3 players in Doubles and Triples games, respectively.
