COLD WAR MAP

Post by w3a2 »

Image

supposedly a map layout (taken from this site: http://www.eheartland.com/) on what the US/USSR cold war was really focusing on.

Still pondering ideas as to how it would work, but before any real work takes place, I want to know whether it's even worth looking into.

If i do go ahead with this, it will be my first map, and so i dont plan on going over the top with stuff, but an idea i have is only 2 continents (USSR Alliance, US Alliance) and when one holds on continent, aside from bonuses, it opens up lines of attack that are normally restricted.

making sense? is it even possible? dunno - but would like some serious input.

i like the idea, but not the map. maybe you could use a regular map of US and USSR, but have areas like NYC and Moscow connected or areas where nuking would possible occur

i went for this layout because of 2 reasons, 1, it's what they apparently worked from in the 60s, and 2 it's a different look at the world

The problem with putting the map this way is that it looks very similar to the arctic map in construction. Is that island in the top left corner Australia? if it is, Australia im pretty sure was US aligned.

I think is the insland of Kalimantan, also known as Borneo, in Indonesia.

What would set this map apart from other worldset maps? Add something Cold-war-y. Right now it looks like a Northern Hemisphere map.
ImageChildren, this is what happens to hockey players, druggies, and Hillary Clinton.
