Stop Deadbeats leaving Stars (suggestion)

Post by KoE_Sirius »

I'd like you to please stop deadbeats leaving negative feedback .

Take away the ability for deadbeats to leave feedback

They did not play to the end of the game and missed 3 turns. So I do not think its fair for them to give an opinion.

This will improve the following aspects of the site by not giving deadbeats the oppotunity to mess up someones feedback ,because they couldn,t play for whatever reason .

Actually, this sounds reasonable, for a lot of reasons. If someone deadbeats (not just missed turns, etc.) they should NOT be able to leave feedback.

(edited thanks to Cicero's observation :) )

I agree it sounds reasonable. And, by the way PLAYER#####, I assume that in your second sentence you mean "not able to leave feedback" ... yeah, I'm sure you do ;)

My only concern is that it might be fairly irrelevant. Of all the deadbeats we have how many are noob sign ups who never return any way? My intuitive feeling is that most are. Of the few who deadbeat and remain on the site how many would find the inability to leave feedback a problem ?

Like I say I like it. But it seems like a great fix that would only affect a tiny number of offenders ...

Since there is absolutely NO moderation now, even a small fix for objectively legitimate reasons would help. The deadbeaters who DO leave ratings seem to be unproportionally likely to leave a negative, in my experience. This won't fix all, but it will fix some of the most blatant examples.

This will leave a few people who are quite nice, but had mishaps unable to rate (myself once included), but that seems a small price.

Not the most important issue this site have but still one of the best ideas I've seen in a while. =D>

I simply dislike the reason of punishing deadbeaters at all when it's a legit way to avoid players suiciding games to get out of them.

I'm not asking to punish deadbeaters .They are insignificant .I just do not value an opinion from a person who can't finish a game .

Deadbeats are using the rating system as a tool for punishing players who did nothing wrong other then be there when they lost an internet connection or for whatever reason they deadbeated .

To withdraw the ability to leave a rating is not a punishment .I do not know of any sport where this would be allowed .Sportsman who quit ,they are simply insignificant .Those that do the best they can to win deserve every option open to them .
