But what does get right on my goat is when every-piece of software has US-English as a default.. or there is no choice for 'English' at all... that does rouse my insecurities.

i also dislike the way Americans say 'niche'... but it makes us feel superior for no good reason, so do carry on.
I've never heard an American say that word. Doesn't it rhyme with "quiche" then?
should do! for Americans it rhymes with 'kitsch'

I don't understand why you all won't honour and recognise, or, should I say realise, that Americans speak American and British people speak English. Oh and just to add some more English: favourite. colour. harbour. crumpets.

Deadbeat unless it is a stalemate, then decide what to do from there.
Let's see .. probably because the language originated in England and we speak a variation of the original, not a true distinct language.

By-the-way, I think most Americans are easier to understand than some of the more distinct dialects in good ol' England ... blame TV for that.
'Cept for people east of the Rockies with their strange words like "Hahvahd" (Harvard) and "Miszera" (Missouri).

I had a friend visiting from England ask for a pack of fags at Super America once. That was really funny.

Would that not be a 'bouquet' of homosexuals (as in Pheasants) or even, dare I say, a 'knob' of homosexuals (as in waterfowl)

I can't really say, I don't think I've ever knowingly seen a group of homosexuals.

That's because they move about you as stealthily as the wind, secretly breaking up traditional family values.

I thought it was Fox News that said the homosexuals were immigrants coming to both England and America and corrupting our society.

'Easing back to the Topic' is a practice done by some English homosexuals. (A Topic being a Nut filled chocolate bar)
What would be the American Equivalent?
'Easing back onto the Hershey Bar' perhaps?
