I think I understand what you're saying. Sometimes you have to read in between the lines to get to the root of DM's literations. The addictions of a good speed game are similar to the fleshly pleasures of self degradation as you've sub-consciously masked.
The ending of a fast paced speed game soon becomes a heavy burden on our conscious. I can relate to this sin in that after the roller coaster of thrills are over and once my eyes roll back into semi-consciousness, I too am quickly overcome with deep feelings of remorse closely shadowed by need.(My personal escape to lengthen this desired high is to go wrench one out into my latest dream catcher)
If you also feel these pains, don't feel estranged because at this moment your God kills a kitten! That's why we feel those human feelings that are equipped with greater states of unrest followed by a dizzied procrastination. It is our eternal punishment for acting like chimps in a zoo during the heat of summer. Have mercy on us CC! Why do you torture our souls?
