Speed games, man! You are a premium.Ditocoaf wrote:Okay... so I still have yet to see the new dice! I wasn't in a game at the time of the change, and the game I joined today has yet to start...

Why do they style of the dice need to change with the colors? What's wrong with new colors and keeping the dots? The Neon Peon wrote:I don't know. RISK attacking dice are red, and RISK defending dice are white. You can't say that there was not a little bit of copying done there. I seriously doubt that Lack chose those colors randomly. I know it is not much of a claim they have, but, seriously, the new dice look WAY better than the old ones. They fit in with the cc colors too.

The only problem is that I have left my computer several times in the last hour, and that pattern is likely to continue. I never have a consistent block of time to play speed games in. They require you to dedicate an hour or two in advance; I don't even know what I'll be doing two minutes from now.The Neon Peon wrote:Speed games, man! Thank you that was all I was hoping to get out of you guys...The Neon Peon wrote:I have nothing wrong with you voicing your opinion at all, and I concede that every time a major change is made, the server crashes.
Do YOU have a problem with the way the new dice look?lostatlimbo wrote:Why do they style of the dice need to change with the colors? Considering how many things have changed at the same time - this one just seems to be very unnecessary to me and compounds the confusion and makes adjusting to the more necessary changes more difficult. Most of us have been playing this for a year or more and are used to at least seeing common dice (regardless of the color) during gameplay.
I also have to echo the sentiments that they needed to explain this a little better. I managed to take my turns without major issues, but if I had just started playing a month ago, I'd have left and never come back.
And here I was just getting ready to renew my membership too...
Right... sorry... I think we have to refer to them as "Random Number Rolling Blocks" from now on...spiesr wrote:Technically they aren't dice anymore...
Shhhh... Be quiet you fool! Hasbro has spies everywhere. Don't give them any ideas.lostatlimbo wrote:Right... sorry... I think we have to refer to them as "Random Number Rolling Blocks" from now on...spiesr wrote:Technically they aren't dice anymore...
Doesn't Risk come with "Instructions" too? CC should call their "Informative Explanation Document"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! CONTINUE ENJOYING YOURSELF? WORST DAY IN CC HISTORY ; SO SAD ; NO GUTS....
Obviously, I wouldn't be on here bitching about it if I loved the new dice. The Neon Peon wrote: Do YOU have a problem with the way the new dice look?
People keep saying the dice changed, and that they do not like it, but none of them have said they liked the originals better. If you want to even talk about this, at least give me some ground to fight for.
Yep, that act was totally against the Grey Company!(The LOTR clan here). We were in the middle of our round robin trips middle earth tournament too. And now they are forcing us to play on little squares, triangles and stars.Sgt.Bobo wrote:It's not such a big deal. So the dice show a number rather than dots... I don't like to count to six anyway. I'm sure the changed maps (once they get fixed up) will be tolerable, but I will miss dressing like an elf to take my Middle Earth turns (what will I do with all the extra time?).
