As I have a feeling that there are more than one Cop in the game you might be correct.
And as I don't really like speedlynches I'll give it until lunchtime tomorrow (i.e 15 hours) for any additional info or counterclaims before I decide on my vote, but atm sam would be the choice.
Honestly said, I don't believe that we have 2 cops in a 13 player mafia game.
But let's think we had 2 cops for a moment. 4 players are already dead (mafia godfather among them), leaving 9 players left. If we have one real and one insane cop under those 9, we should use results of both of them for the sake of town. So if there is a second cop, claim now. If we can get his result and verify that animo is insane, that will practically mean we can get two correct results each night, until one of them is killed. As we have 9 players only, we should be able to win in this case.
Unless we get a second cop claim, my vote will stand.

my job takes me to wherever is required, but my vigilance to be on the scene immediately removes any limits normally associated with travel, still since my job is very time consuming other penalties are invoked...
Any and every night i can chose weather to go to the scene of a story, making me completely immune to all actions directed at me for the night, the cost of this however, is the loss of the ability to vote the following day, i am also limited to five posts that day since i am not actually with the rest of the group. I can still be lynched though.

one thing, ani, wth made you go for me? i did nothing scummy at all. the fact selin said cos i pounced on a mistake by ace i must be scum is pure lunacy. I died laughing at what ace had said and had to express it sumhow.
Your almost always my first choice, anyways. For numerous things to me in multiple games (like that bandwagon that went out of control in KOTOR). I always feel better after I choose you.
I seriously doubt that ani is scum. No scum is going be dumb enough to jump out and claim cop right off the bat. The way I see it, there are 2 possibilities:
-Ani is a regular cop, and Sam is scum
-Ani's insane, paranoid, etc., and Sam's telling the truth.
I'm leaning toward the second right now, and Sam's claim is believale, so I'll unvote. I would hate for someone to hammer before we were ready.

Extra! Mid day scene!
Today was not a good day, Not only had a valued employee (And uh someone else apparently) been killed, but the resulting police barricade is impeding our ability to get new information for our stories, to top it off, I, the head of the Paper, am locked out since I wasn't present during the murders.
I call form a nearby payphone, and am answered by our operator
"What's going on there?" I inquire.
"They have someone who claimed to investigate a claimed employee, sam_levi_11 he countered with his old papers from when he was hired."
"Wait what? I told everyone, they must not show those to the other employees! Is it a real one?"
The secretary thought for a moment.
"I'm not sure, usually only you and the archivist handle those, you would have to confirm"
I Sighed, "well anyways since I can't do that, for now I have a new assignment for him, I worked out a deal with he police, the employees can walk outside, just not very far, since the situation in it's self is interesting, have the staff print up some updates and give it out as an Extra edition, let sam_levi_11 sell them outside the building, it should be surrounded with interested snoopers and gossips soon enough."
Well, I was going to vote for Sam soon, because thus far no one has piped up claiming "I'm a cop toooo!" making it highly unlikely that ani is insane.

That was a weird scene. I'm unsure of where to go with this since I also would doubt this small of a game would have 2 cops in it. Selin usually is very good at finding scum without having a cop ability and thinks Sam is scum so I'll go with him on this.

Researcher, victim of brutality!
We regret to inform you, that this morning Thursday Oct 16, 2008, our senior researcher Sam_levi_11 has been killed.
It all started with some accusations, followed by scene, which you can read in our new Extra Edition out now, (check your local news stands) that left Sam out on the curb selling papers for the day.
As he was out, some of our staff pointed him out as the killer to the police standing by, what ensued was a struggle as Sam once again proclaimed his innocence, he broke free of their grips and reached for what we assume was his press badge. Acting quickly one officer clubbed him over the head, unfortunately, he died at the scene.
The police involved is on suspension, and local sheriff's office have taken down the barricade for now.
We can only hope for the best.

This morning another two of our co-workers have been killed, as you our loyal subscribers know, we work our hardest to bring you the fastest news we can, but with only a few staff left here, we fear we will be unable to bring you the quality and quantity you are used to.
Our classifieds editor Selin was working late last night looking over the final draft of today's messages, he handed them in when he met another of our employees, LSU Tiger Josh, it is not possible to confirm what happened after that, as both have since gone missing, Selin's body turned up this morning with evidence of head trauma, a few shards surrounding him of what appears to be a mug of some sort.
LSU's body later was later found stabbed with the charred remains of a pencil through his back piercing his lungs, the room he was found in appears to have somehow caught on fire, next to his body appear to be burnt and shredded scraps of records of his work. Classifieds, ads, etc.
