I would be willing to change the Fortifications - but not the cards... - we can decide that when we have 8 finalists.

Reinforcements won't change much IMO. You can have it unlimited if you wish but the games will still go 50+ rounds, in finals probably 100+ rounds because everybody is especially careful and don't want to make a mistake. I would say keep it adjacent because I think in no spoils it gives advantage to those who have skill and think moves ahead and then you can be sure that best player (or at least one of the best) will win.

No update on my game really, it will probably take ages to end

I'm against it! In no cards games, any fortifications other than adjacent are very risky. Risky in a way that a game could be ruined. Flat rate, adjacent would be lessen evil
