Military Choose
Hey how about instead of being part of registered users you can choose between the Marines, Air Force, Army, Navy, and Coast Guard. You wouldnt be part of a clan but I think this would be pretty cool.

Also we could have tournaments with Navy VS. Army VS. Marines VS. Air Force VS. Don't forget the separate male and female scorebaords!
And you should be able to indicate <18, 19-29, 39-49, >49!
Then we could have scoreboards and tournaments by age!
These are provided exmaples to illustrate part of this suggestion. The point of this site is to play risk. You already can add military affiliation to your profile, and if ten of your get togather, you can start your own usergroup to have a private chat board. On top of that, you can even create a custom signature and avatar to display with your name, so there is really no need for this.
Also, why stop at military? How about, as previously suggested, political parties? Or gender? Age groups? Even then, military experience is a bad choice, since it applies to a small percentage of people on the site. I think (not sure) that most users are from USA, where military service is optional. But then again, as already pointed out, does Canada have a Marines? You would have to include them. Or what about our Swiss users? They are all in the army, correct?
Some countries have paramilitary police forces, do they count?

Nope, this is a turn based strategy board game using dice played over the internet. It is a ton of fun, but it isn't war. And I would assume anyone in the military would be offended by a comparison of the two.Thats politics this is war.
