Suggestion: Show US of A State flags instead of the US of A

I dont think so...I would rather not have people think I'm in West Virginia.

is it hard to make it optional?

the accuracy means it will show the wrong state or it wont show a state?

at least in my case I wont care much of a problem if the IP geo thingy gets my state wrong. but even if its wrong it will help to get a good idea if 2 players might have the same IP

yes, thats the idea, get a good idea of the region or IP respecting the privacy and not really seeing the IP

I like the idea of knowing what state people are from since most of CC is from the USA. State flags definitely wouldn't work, but at least having the state in the profile would be nice.

I tell you what, once we have a ticket system in place to let us reply to emails with canned responses I'll print the state name on your profile. That way we won't become tied up replying to people who have the wrong state!

How about everyone just gets a Robinson Projection World Map with their state/shire/province/parish/district/territory/department/county/kraj/oblast/urbanization zone/farthing/autonomous republic highlighted?
