I generally don't like lynching newbies. Staying alive is a good thing for them. I will say, I'm inches away from casting my vote against him but I do feel sorry for him. As for that comment about how he wasn't told if he was scum or town... there are a lot of factions and I do believe they all have guns. So I don't think there is any town. It's a giant war between all the factions. That would confuse me if it were my first game cus that mafia guide who's name I forget says there's a town and a mafia in a game and on a rare occasion a third party like a second mafia or werewolves.

like i said before, my best guess about the setup is something like 7 deadly sins. so if you want an idea of a good way for a mod to change a normal game setup and screw with his players, look up 7 deadly sins mafia.

If you don't think there is any town then you clearly aren't town.

Your protecting him, being a newbie isn't an exuse and you have to learn from your mistakes. You can't not lynch scum just cause they are new.

There sure are a lot of factions here so i'm going to hedge my bets and stick with the newbie, I think that he is probably part of one of the worse factions and if he isnt then its better to get rid of him now rather than later when it could be a game decider.

I'm convinced. Yes I did try to defend him, mostly because he made a newbie mistake and is suffering dearly for it just like I did when I first started. I'd rather him see the same happy ending I saw. He hasn't role claimed though or provided any defense for himself. Now it looks like he is submerging unvote vote haoala.

In this post I don't think he's telling the whole truth. If im correct, his role pm probably said something along the lines of mafia, but never really confirmed this. So when Haolo asked Iliad what he was, Iliad responded as scum, which is a different answer then both mafia and town just as he mentioned in the staement I bolded.

So yeah if you didn't get it from the movie there are 7 different factions. At least in the game it was a ffa. No allies. Even SM and IG were against each other. So it would be safe to assume that there are 7 different factions in this mafia game all working against one another.

but that was only how they were portrayed. The good and bad division makes absolutely no difference. good weren't working together against bad or anything, so dividing these up into mafia/town wouldn't be right probably. If I was modding i'd make this like 7 deadly sins mafia....but then again 7DS suckd if any1 remembers it

I don't know much about the plot in this game but from the bit of reading I did I tend to agree with your assessment.

And I disagree about 7 Deadly Sins sucking, I thought it was a great game but maybe that's just because I won it by myself...

haha that's why it sucked. any game you win must be assumed to have some sort of flaw

And as for the hoala business, honestly it looks exactly like a clear-cut case of 'the new guy typed the wrong thing, we can bandwagon him all we want but if he is scum it's just dumb luck. Honestly I could care less whether he gets lynched or not I'm just saying that as a new player you are bound to make a mistake, in this case it just sounded scummy (or he's doing a fantastic job of covering his as after a slip-up but that seems doubtful, at least to me anyway).

I have to agree with kalish here. If a newbie makes a scumtell it's usually not a scumtell. Hell, if anyone makes a scumtell its usually not a scumtell.

Sure he said scum or mafia but i'm assuming he's new to the game and unfamiliar with the terminology.

I'm going to agree with sheepofdumb here. I doubt that having a town would fit with the theme of the game. It's seven factions fighting for control, not a planet trying to defend itself from seven attacking factions.

However, from the sounds of it, he was confused about his role, and since I'm pretty sure that there is at least a small town (we don't want a repeat of Pokemon, do we?), I doubt that he would be as confused about his role if he were town. So likely he is from a faction, and therefore must be lynched.
