I find the opposite. When I try to be careful and attack the levels of intensity tend to be lower on my end because there is no boldness backing them.william18 wrote:I find the dice are good if you don't auto attack.
Agreeing w/ The Neon Peon, I also find this to be the opposite for me. I used to do the regular attack, but now I do the auto-attack more often because it'll usually let me get over in a match w/ a tert that has 50% more armies than I do. Many times I'll end up losing only a few and they'll be demolished.william18 wrote:I find the dice are good if you don't auto attack.
i love the way people like you get everyone paranoid about using autowilliam18 wrote:I find the dice are good if you don't auto attack.
An excellent point. I find that risk is very similar to playing chess in that you do have to think of your opponents options a few turns ahead of time. Using this strategy you can determine what the most intelligent move for them would be or what you might do if you were them. I love a good game of chess and played it many years before I ever discovered risk. Very good correlation and a great post.poptartpsycho18 wrote:The game is of course more than the dice. It's like any game, you have the randomness of the dice but the main part is being able to anticipate what your opponent will do, sometimes seeing their possible moves several turns ahead, and basing your moves on that. If you play chess (and are any good) you'll have experience with this and this will help you succeed.

that's not true.hammocksleeper wrote:It doesn't matter either way..your odds are the same whether you auto it or not
No one insulted chess....It was said that there were strategic parallels. It was pretty subtle, I will admit, so don't feel bad about missing it.itsmedicineman wrote:I have to disagree chess does not have any luck sorry. except who goes first come on now don't insult a great game like chess. to many things change what you think might happen to much luck in this game
You can't attack your own side in chess.n00blet wrote:No one insulted chess....It was said that there were strategic parallels. But in chess, can you ever get that satisfying feeling of pitting your queen against a pawn and losing? I thought not.BaldAdonis wrote:You can't attack your own side in chess.n00blet wrote:No one insulted chess....It was said that there were strategic parallels.
