diverclint [Settled]

Post by Caenwyr »

Accused:

Diverclint

The accused is suspected of:

Massive deadbeating, as soon as he feels he's losing the game
(well, waiting 23 hours before playing another turn actually, while still playing other games at a normal pace)

Game number(s):

Game 3774815
Game 3781135
Game 3736361
Game 3763074
Game 3735430
Game 3606496
...

Comments:
I as wel as many other players have tried several times to contact the player, all in vain. He doesn't even open his pms, and deletes his wall comments quite frequently. Just so you know, he does know how to speak English (random example: Game 3471188)

Using 23 of 24 hours isn't against the rules, as it's not actually deadbeating. You should probably add the player to your Foe List.

And tons of other people then, you mean. I know that taking 23 hours for each turn is not against the rules. But missing turns isn't either. As fas as I've understood by reading through this forum, "deadbeating" is not about breaking the rules, it's about bending them in order to irritate the other player(s), or in some cases, to "punish" them for certain behaviour.

In the case of diverclint, the games I named earlier clearly prove he's not "punishing" people because of their behaviour, he just "deadbeats" (= taking the maximum amount of time without causing his percentage of turns taken to rise) as soon as he begins losing in the game. In my opinion, this is in no way better than any other case of "real" deadbeating.

As long as he is taking his turns, there is nothing that can be done. Moved to closed reports and marked [Settled].

In the six games listed above he missed only one turn. If he does not miss three consecutive turns in one game and deadbeat out, then nothing can or will be done. He has as much time to take his turns as he likes.
