USA the ultimate farming map?

Post by premio53 »

In my 4 current games exactly one half are new players and most deadbeat. What's up with that? USA would probably be a gold mine for someone wishing to farm new recruits.

its probably because your games got to the top of the join a game list that the new recruits can see

this is how klobber, pie, herpes and many more used to farm only they did it on different maps which the new recruits cant see any more

Why would my map necessarily be at the top instead of Classic or something else?

I've never had any trouble with it. It's my favorite map.

I noticed that 15 of 25 players on your map are new recruits.

I bet it has something to do with the fact that most new recruits are actually from the US.

USA was my first map, and played it for, if I recall, my first three games. Lost all three, too :(

My guess is that since USA is such an old map, many existing members don't really like it's older graphics and don't play it very often. The map is a very simple map for new members without using the overly fancy graphics.

At least no one can accuse me of farming since I foe all new players who miss turns or don't show 100% taking their turns. lol

I thought you liked Waterloo? 8-)

I personally hate the USA map. I have seen disgraceful comebacks and terrible rolls performed on that map.

For me, USA is the exact same thing as France, or Germany, or any other simple map. They all play the same.

So when starting a game on a simple map, I just make my decision on graphics. I find it funny when I hear a person trying to "learn" how to play on the Siege! map, or any other simple one.

Siege! is far from simple. 1 way places, grates, throne, small bonus etc.

Also the USA map is nice for flat rate, triples, and doubles. It still gets played a good bit. :)
