Once again illustrates what a tough conference the SEC is. No way OSU would have been undefeated had they played a SEC schedule. Point proven last night.

The Big Ten won two out of three against the SEC this bowl season. Wisconsin dismantled the western division champ Razorbacks and Penn State slapped Tennessee in the mouth.

YES ok whatever and when it counted most they couldnt hang with the best of the SEC (thats the Gators btw)..not Tenn.. or.Arkansas we beat both of them
so yakkity yak it up all you want we are still the best SEC RULES
but if you are trying to say that the SEC is better as a whole, your arguement falls through that you have the best team. If the big 10 won 2 out of 3, they appear to be the strong confrence, not the SEC. And i'm pretty unbiased seeing how I don't give a hoot about any teams in either confrence.
Well...I'm man enough to own up...Lord knows I've been talking more than my fair share of shit...
I'm a huge Big Ten fan...that being said, our two biggest dogs (Michigan and Ohio State) got their asses handed to them...
While I do believe that judging a team based on the outcome of one game (see 2006 Arkansas vs. USC opener) is idiotic, it's all that we as fans have to go by...
So, congrats to the Pac-10 and SEC conferences! Now, wouldn't it be nice to see Florida mix it up with Boise State or USC? Here's to hoping for a playoff system in 2010...

I would love to see a playoff system. I think there is a TON of money being missed out on, plus it would be more exciting for the fans. There are just so many more benefits to a playoff system as opposed to a bowl system, They really need to switch.

Dismantled? I didn't watch the game but the final stats don't show me anything that would be called a dismantling.
Wisconsin won by 3 and outgained Arkansas in the air 206 to 136.
But, Arkansas outrushed Wisconsin 232 to -5 and the total yards was 368 to 201 in favor of Arkansas.

Wolf, I'm about as rabid of an SEC fan as there is, but please don't point to the out-of-conference record to support what you and I know to be the truth - that the SEC really is the dominant conference (and from my visit to the Buckeyes message board, they seem to agree, at least for this year, they say). Truth is the SEC out-of-conference schedule is soft. This is tempered, of course, by the extremely gruelling IN-conference schedule, the likes of which no team in any other conference can fathom.
