Looking at the map and the bonusses, i would add an attacking route from beemster (or amsterdam) to flevoland.

But i really like this map.

amsterdam seems logic to have a "sea" route (since it is no sea how would we name it? a lake-route? :P )

sorry, i meant the blue - the blue in zuid-nederland

I really think zuid-nederland should be a different colour altogether, then that would eliminate this problem as well as stop it looking too much like a big continent of water. Why not try grey or dark green?

if you look good you see red is up then light green (looks like white) and blue is down, like the flag, that seems perfect :P

but id on't know if you see the armies on "de wadden-eilanden" so make them brighter ;)

Well lets see...commenting on the latest map...

The map is looking visually about 20 times better now. I commend you for pushing it further.

  • I'll start off wit the new title. The light orange on the light blue is a little harsh for the eyes perhaps, especially the symbol next to the title. Could you darken the color perhaps...and maybe add a black outline around the symbol?
  • Regarding the bonus legend, the flag looks a little funny...and it almost feels like it is crowding tat particular area of the map. I'm not a big fan of it, at the moment.
  • Have you considered darkening Midden slightly, to make it more green? It feels a little odd and out of place at the moment, but nothing too bad. Also take a look at how you have both blue color shades next to each other. Sometimes it's best to flip colors.
  • Your division lines are looking better, they could maybe user a little work, but we'll get to that later perhaps.
  • Also, what do you think about shortening a few of the longer names? I'd definitely look into that.
  • The font is alrigt, I've seen better. I like seeing that you are trying a few different ones out, but perhaps a bold and thick isn't the way to go.
  • Your river looks more like a river now, though it still looks a little odd, don't you think?
  • Also, Holland now has 3 borders, bonus of 5 for 6 countries? Are you going to knock that down to a 4 bonus, as Midden is nearly the same continent.
  • Definitely consider some better bridges, other than simple black lines. Consider making them 'stylish lines' (check Malta map for what I mean) or consider something like bridges (check Italy map).

It looks like it is coming along, and getting better.

I think Utrecht should have a higher bonus for holding it... Although its small, it has i think 7 borders so it should have a higher bonus in my opinion.

I'd have to say any higher bonus, would be a potential disaster. It may not be a perfect 'hold out' continent, to that of SA or Australia, but I think it will be an interesting area of battle, and perhaps allow you to slip into one of the easier continents to hold.

I dont know if this has already been mentioned, but this map is similar to the BeNeLux map. Do we really need both? And I think the other map looks alot better and way more professional.
