way to reply to your own comment. Anyway, I think the rock family tree could work really well with correct graphics, but cairns's Poison Rome might have too similar gameplay.Here are some ideas:
Bonuses are all in the same genre (psychadelic, hard rock, etc)
Band members leave and create new bands (i.e. Beatles, Wings, Plastic Ono) could connect
Let's see how it looks … with some good graphics (hippies!
) it could be sweet, but it'll be tough.Oh, and I don't get the Bacon idea …

lol, i love kevin bacon... it should be based on the film hollow man, the map will be invisible to play.

The 'Kevin Bacon Game'- duh. lol.
You have to name actors connected with other actors (movies they've been in) and trace them back to Kevin Bacon.
Not saying it would work, but that's the game.. lol.
eg:
Cameron Diaz (Being John Malkovich) with John Cusack (High Fidelity) with Tim Robbins (Mystic River)-Kevin Bacon (Mystic River)
Usually longer than that, but you get the idea =)

instead of bands, do famouse musicians, that way the bonuses could just be the bands they were in
