Why does Conquer Club actively seek to drive people away?
I'm making a new thread to get across one simple point, maps which exist on this site which co-exist on the site found at associated with bryan brun (denizengames.com) are not now nor were they ever stolen maps (at least, I think that is the case). Mr. Brun stated to me in his email to me that he'd obtained the right to all such "disputed" maps from the creators of those maps. Now, again, I play both CC and GS.
I understand that there are SOME similar maps.
After making this post (http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... f=8&t=7684) ---AND suffering the abuse typical of anyone who posts something not in orthodox compliance with the usual, hyper-lynch mentality which prevails at CC (and which attitude is led by and backed-up by the mods at this place) I received some abuse on this site, some other abuse by pm and email...but...ALSO, such abuse backed up by a listed and official moderator of this CC site, whose name I won't mention but who shall be known at THE TWIT.
I didn't expect it, but Mr. Brun, someone I never have met, and who founded the site at which I also play these various similar games (the aforementioned denizengames.com) sent me an email.
Seems that within hours of my original post (found HERE) Mr. Brun started to receive ACTUAL THREATS on his person.
Come on children of CC, calm down, and come on mods of CC (who actively seek out and back this mob/lynch mentality) seek to learn that you sow what you reap.
The makers of CC ought to realize that my original post was meant to point out some things done over at the very similar gaming site denizengames.com which are VAST improvements (in my opinion) over the game here.
At the time I posted the first note here, I hadn't played much or at all over there in THE LAST ONE YEAR. I'd kept a premium membership at both this site and that "other one".
I STILL like much of what exists over at denizengames.com MUCH,MUCH more than what exists HERE.
However, anyone looking at my total play time at both sites would conclude that I have spent, cumulatively, MOST of my time at CC.
That isn't for NO reason. Frankly, CC has vastly superior servers meting out the games (and, I could care less about the discourse on the fora, I care about playing....I care about winning, I care about stomping my opponents into the dirt, the dust, rubbing their faces in my superiority, etc....you know, all the fun stuff).
denizengames.com has had its' PAST problems delivering on this due to server hick-ups, etc.
STILL, I pointed out to THIS CC community some things which Grand Strategy continues to get RIGHT and which this site, CC, stubborning refuses to acknowledge.
Now, there is SOME ROOM for disagreement on those issues I raised (and there are MANY others which I did not raise).
Still, the fact that I disagree with some of you is NO REASON for some of the TWITS on this site to send threatening emails to Mr. Brun. Mr. Brun (whom, again, I do not know and never have met, informed me that he's received numerous personal threats because of my original post.
WHY?
WHY IS THAT?
Some people are perturbed because that original post touched on the subject of maps (and despite what ANYONE here says, the maps THERE have vastly improved readability than the maps here---again, the humble opinion of this narrator HeHe).
But, anyone can look and see for themselves.
Now let's get to the meat of this post. The reason for this post.
Mr. Brun emailed me to let me know that he has been banned from CC. He acquired "rights" to the maps he uses from the MAKERS of the maps, the SAME makers as made them for CC.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND.
Those maps are NOT owned by CC. They are owned by the map makers (or, as I have suggested, possibly not "owned" by anyone).
DO YOU UNDERSTAND? THERE IS NO REASON TO THREATEN MR. BRUN.. If you want to threaten someone, do it to me, I am used to it, I experience it for a living (I am a political consultant and having done so for a few decades, there is NOTHING I've ever seen on CC which threatens me...).
BUT, those of you specially TWISTED TWITS who get off of anonymously threatening the security of others (such as honest and good businessman Mr. Brun) DO NOT have a right to do so.
That is ILLEGAL, plainly IMMORAL, and really, when you get right down to it, the province of a child, a twisted child.
If you want to threaten someone, threaten me, Mr. Brun had NOTHING to do with my post. Again, he DOES NOT know me.
I am used to the abuse. And, I kinda don't care. So bring it on, TO ME, not to others.
I have been, am and remain your Superior.
As for the aforementioned THE TWIT, the unnamed Mod on this CC site, and who presumably is reading this: GO BLANK YOURSELF ( a statement I make to you only because of and in my sole response to your PM to me) you unsatisfied and presumably unsatisfiable shell of a non-human sack of primordial scrotal sludge. You are dirt for allowing the kind of trolling and absolute VENOM which characterizes THIS CC site---and, for simultaneously allowing the drudge which is the normal drivel of the CC fora community to otherwise contaminate the chances for normal and intelligent discourse---you see, you are responsible to exclude, specifically and perhaps most importantly the threats to personal safety which in this case, as in MANY others, you choose to ignore. Instead, you sought to "correct" me.
I REMAIN< DEFIANTLY AND PROUDLY, UNCORRECTED. YOU TWIT.
CC has some problems, they are characterized by you, THE TWIT. Not the least of these problems is that personal threats against the safety of others ROUTINELY are ignored (and, as is true in this case) are ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED by the owners and operators of this CC site.
When, as is the case with Mr. Brun, you have marketplace competitors, you meet them in the marketplace, you DO NOT THREATEN THEM. NOR do you, as CC has done in this case, encourage threats to be made against them.
SHAME ON CC!
