Some possibilities include naming boats after certain class of sailboat from long island.

The Seaford Skiff, The narrasketuck and other more common like the Hobie Cat, Lido, Flying Dutchman, and Sunfish?

I would like to hear what the community thinks about adding both. The poll is pretty close and I think we might as well. Let me just give everyone a idea of what the highway would be. Everyone knows the NYC map? Well it would be just like the subway routes. The name of The Highway is Montauk Highway. It is a highway that stretches the length of the Island and could enchance game play. I am thinking it will start in Hempstead, then go to Islip, to North Brook Haven, To Westhampton, To Easthampton. I would like to hear what everyone has to think about a "both" idea...

I was originally considering this map before winning the CA comp. One thing I was going to be sure to include is airports as attack routes- there's enough in Long Island alone to make cross-map attack routes. Maybe if you use this you can drop a couple of the yachts.

I like the idea of a Long Island map, but I think the boats are horrible. I'd rather see a few highways added (Sunrise/Montauk, GCP/Northern State, Belt/Southern State) and split the regions up a bit, make it more like the Sydney Metro map. Maybe add in the LIRR, and a few stations to function as the Bus routes do in Sydney, add in the ferries to Conn, and the beach islands, and have the highways as impassible (except for a few areas) barriers. I think that would be WAY better than the boats.

with all of thes sub deveisions, i don't think there will be room for army circles or territ names, and to have them clumped up outside of the territ borders, might make things get cluddered
