In this instance, I agree. It's painfully obvious that all of this happened because the people in charge wanted it to happen... So why would we fix their mess by giving them even more control and power? I believe this is exactly what Thomas Jefferson warned Americans about when he said "a central bank printing money is more dangerous to American freedoms than a standing army."
That's an approximate qoute but you get the idea.
And who is so stupid to say "the best way to save our freedom is through socialism!" I mean, C'mon.

If you're saying that rationing is a temporary program that our government has stopped, then I agree IN PART. Because the laws that the government put in place during the 2nd world war and the Great Depression are still in place. The governmnet still has the authority to confiscate, gold, silver, food, and other items from private citizens, they just don't do it. Besides, this is something that would stiffle the economy, and the rich wouldn't want that exactly.
It's more accurate to say "don't give the government more power, because they will never give it back."
