Introduction:
The Mafia has infiltrated this part of town. It’s time to get rid of them before they get rid of the town. During “day”, all the players will convene to determine who should be lynched at the gallows. Then during “night”, they all disperse and night choices are sent to me.
Rules (shamelessly stolen from various sources)
• All votes must be in bold. Vote: autoload.
• If possible Unvote before casting a new vote.
• Lynches will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. You may Vote: No Lynch – majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a lynch. If a deadline is placed, a majority of votes cast will suffice.
• Once a player or no lynch hits a majority, it is Twilight. Please feel free to post during twilight. Once I have posted the death scene you are dead, you may no longer post except for maybe a “Bah!” post.
• At this point, if your role allows it, you may talk to people via PM. I will declare the deadline for night-choice submissions when I post the death scene. If you do not declare your night-choice prior to deadline, no night choice is made.
• Do not edit/delete any previous submitted posts.
• Do not quote any PMs from me, people you can talk to at night or anything from outside the game. The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
• Please try to post at least once per day. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment and be considerate.
• I am your mod. Anything I say goes. PM me if you have any questions.
This game has one of 4 random setups:
1) 2 Mafia, 1 Doctor, 1 Cop, 3 Townspeople
2) 2 Mafia, 1 Cop, 4 Townspeople
3) 2 Mafia, 1 Doctor, 4 Townspeople
4) 2 Mafia, 5 Townspeople
The possible roles are as follows:
Mafia: You are Mafia with XXX. You may only talk with each other through PMs during the game's "night" not during the "day." Every “night” as a group, you will decide which person will be killed. Prior to deadline, please PM me who will be your victim during that “night”. If I receive conflicting results, the first one will count.
Win condition: You win when all other players are dead.
Cop: You are a cop. Every "night" before the deadline you may send me a message with a name of your choice, and I will let you know if that person is “innocent” or “mafia”. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread. There may or may not be a Cop.
Win Condition: You win when all mafia is dead.
Doctor: You are a doctor. Every "night" before the deadline you may send me a message with a name of your choice, and that player will not die if attacked by the mafia that night. You cannot protect yourself. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread. There may or may not be a Doctor.
Win Condition: You win when all mafia is dead.
Townie: You are an ordinary townie. Your only power is that of the vote, so use it. You are not allowed to communicate with any of the other players outside the thread.
Win Condition: You win when all mafia is dead.
