A few days ago, porkenbeans put together some conceptual maps:
to which I replied: "that looks like Palau.". Here are some pictures of Palau:
An uncanny resemblance, no?
So why should there be a map of Palau? It's ranked number one on the list of Seven Wonders Of The Underwater World, and is considered by many to be one of Earth's last truly unspoiled environments. It was also the site of the deadliest battle of the Pacific Theater in World War II.
Here are two of the maps I used for reference:
and here is the final product:
The territories are a combination of the political States and the famous Rock Islands.
Focus on the gameplay, NOT THE GRAPHICS. If porkenbeans decides not to do this, and the idea has a lot of support, then I might do the graphics myself.
32 territories, not counting the 2 that start neutral.
