Flat rate is perfectly fine as every team has a chance with that. No cards games for me personally I avoid b/c there is no reason to push an attack if you miss the first roll. In a card game, you have to decide if it is worth continueing the attack to try for a card when the dice go against you.AndrewB wrote:
I would not complain about maps, but the settings. I got to play 2 flat rate games and I was raped twice by the cards in them.
If you want to make it fair, you would have to make the neutral game in no cards. And make it at least 7 games long. To be frank, if i knew that in the finals i would be playing just 3 games, with 2 of them flat rate, I would not participate in the tournament to start with. You could as well throw a dice to decide a winner![]()
I sound like a sore loser, maybe I am. But the tournament format was so nice in the beginning, and ending was so undefined till the very end and whatever was defined was such a disappointment...

One little complaint I have regarding the how the tourny played out for me ...
I topped my league and won the end of season cup and fairplay I was rewarded with a very good seeding.
Unfortunately for me that seeding meant absolutely nothing as my opponant was playing his chosen map and settings in the knock out round as a neutal ground. Rather frustrating that all them games I played were for no advantage.

You would be wrong in your assumption. The College basketball champion IS decided by a best of one single elimination 65-team tournament. The long regular season is only for seeding, otherwise it's completely useless.AndrewB wrote: And I do realize that you try to mimic the real sport league here. Unfortunately I have to knowledge of the college hoops. But I would never suspect that the 1 game can potentially decide a winner of the year long tournament in any sport.
Finding a 1v1 champion was never the goal of this league. The only goal was to replicate the college season, which Flex has done a perfect job of.AndrewB wrote: Essentially it maybe a very good replication of the college league, but it is certainly NOT a tournament in a search of 1vs1 champion.
Actually, I already stated that the scoring system would be the official mark, so I'm off to do some more testing...probably come up with some sort of a troop-accumulation cap.LSU Tiger Josh wrote:LSU won it's first round matchup 2 games to 1. Flex, you could just add a "disclaimer" that the "scoring system" is for fun only and that it is just a best of 3 series.
