is doodle all luck?

Post by azezzo »

in sequential sunny doodle earth its my opinion that there is very little skill involved but rather luck of the drop and who goes 1st as the winning factors, not trying to cause a stir, just want to know if i'm correct or i just have had bad luck.

the fact that you can win a game in 6-10 seconds kind of makes me agree...

nope, it's just that because there's so little territories, most games involving doodle earth would end quickly
but luck plays a bigger role in freestyle doodle

It's luck unless 1 person or more is stupid. If they outstupid you, you can overcome luck.

"All" is a pretty wide term. That reference to "unless someone is stupid" is just one example of how there is at least a bit more than just luck. There is more than one tactic that can work and that means knowing what to do when, so its not all luck.

However, that map is certainly above-average in the "impact of luck" scale.

And yet a lot of people LIKE those games!

Luck is NOT the same as "no fun". For a lot of people luck is part of why some maps are fun!

I've played a lot of 8-man Sequential Doodle Terminators recently. It's not the most exciting variation of the game to be honest, but as long as you can outlast your opponents you get easy unique defeats for your terminator medal :)

ALLLLLLLLLLLLUCK No matter what that other guy said, I mean there is barely any strategy involved other than take out the other guy before he takes you out. Not that luck isnt fun, I still depend on luck a lot and play doodle every once in a while.

It's not ALL luck. Mostly so, but not entirely. There's no setting/map that is entirely luck. Even playing 1v1 on the St. Paddy's map, you need to have enough skill to know to attack towards the centre of the map. Sure, it might not seem like skill to anyone who hasn't been lobotomized, but why should we discriminate against the lobotomized?
