Were you personally affected by 9/11? Please be honest in your answer.
Because, to be perfectly honest, I seriously cannot hide the rage I feel towards people who try to build their careers on an event they DON'T KNOW A FUCKING THING ABOUT.
Glenn Beck, that sanctimonious pussy, knows NOTHING OF THAT DAY. And yes, I'm a bit drunk right now, and probably shouldn't be posting, but honestly, f*ck that hypocritical waste of egg and sperm.
Let him experience what happened that day, and then see what he has to fucking say, the cunt.
The man deserves to be mocked off the air. He shouldn't be allowed to make a living off the suffering of others. And if he'd like to know what it's like to watch someone's head explode from a piece of falling debris, knowing that it could have just as easily been him had he been 5 feet further out the door, and then to have to carry the weight of that survivor guilt for the rest of his life, I'll gladly tell him. After I break his goddamn nose and beat him to the ground like the coward he is.
Was I personally affected by 9/11? I think that everyone was. This was one of the major events of our time and to claim that the impact that this had on society and the world in general did not affect any given individual seems very short sighted.
Glenn Beck is not building his career on this 9/12 project. He was greatly successful prior to this movement and this is a continuation of his work. Frankly I'm glad he's doing it.
Contrary to what Colbert is saying, the idea behind the project is to bring people together on common ground. Colbert is proving to be the divisive figure here, not Beck.

I find it hard to disagree with that message and I suspect that it would be embraced if it were being put forth by a person who was in sync with the current administration.
Do you remember the sense of unity which existed after 9/11 Dave? I know I do. It was a good thing but it seems to be gone now.
The only time Colbert or Stewart mention anyone in a critical light on their show is if they have the audacity to question the current administration. They don't usually back up their arguments with facts, and they don't encourage their audience to think for themselves.

Anyway, Glen Beck is a fucking pussy with not a single bit of dignity left in his soul. The guy is a fraud who tricks people into his ideas by playing on sentimental bullshit. The amount of dickery he gets away with by crying on camera talking about how he loooooooooves this country is quite frankly absurd. If you're actually defending him, Gabon, then you're just another one of those morons who back another moron despite all the evidence to the contrary.
What evidence to the contrary are we talking about exactly? You're position is that Glenn Beck is quote:
"a fucking pussy with not a single bit of dignity left in his soul"
"a fraud who tricks people into his ideas by playing on sentimental bullshit"
and that "The amount of dickery he gets away with by crying on camera talking about how he loooooooooves this country is quite frankly absurd"
It now falls upon you to provide "all the evidence to the contrary" which should come from recordings of Glenn Beck or his writings, not third parties.
I have the sneaking suspicion that you have never listened to Glenn Beck but rather hold second hand opinions of the man which are dictated to you by figures like Steven Colbert.
And yes, Glenn Beck is patriotic.
Glenn Beck, who said "if you take what I say as gospel, you’re an idiot." has more of my respect than Colbert who ended an episode of his show by saying "we told you what to think, now go out and vote!"
It was an episode towards the end of the Democratic Primary where Clinton made a cameo appearance and he had Obama come on after her (without her knowledge) so that they could lampoon her together. It was funny but that closing line is terrifying and cuts right to the core of Colbert's character. To the contrary Glenn Beck frequently encourages people to do their own research and to double check everything he says. If you listen to him for any substantial period you will hear him say these things.
"If you take what I say as gospel, you’re an idiot." vs "we told you what to think now go out and vote! (for Obama)"
I know where I stand on these two choices.
