And if they dont suck then they blow.
You can pretty much ignore the advice of AAFitz as he simply has a thing against me because he is THOTA and I am LoW, and our clans are not on the best of terms at the moment, so he feels the need to follow me round the forums trolling away.AAFitz wrote:you can pretty much ignore the advice of epi who is just disgruntled at the management for a lot of reasons right now.
There is no way for the mods to distinguish between babysitting and taking turns ad lib, so babysitting for your son will potentially get your account banned. If you do percieve the need to babysit his account, clear it with the mods first, as they aren't giving definitive answers regarding this at the moment. It is important that you get it in writing from the staff so that you can present it as support if you ever get investigated.AAFitz wrote:1. Dont make moves for your son or log into his account, unless as a babysitter if he is unable to make his move, and if you are in no games with him.
I'd already pointed this out Fitz, but thanks for stepping in to take credit. Nice of you to leave out that team games doesn't fall under this umbrella.AAFitz wrote:2. Though its legal, avoiding public games against each other may be a good idea. Its difficult for many to believe you could be unbiased. Further, if you get into a game where strategy makes it seem like your biased, you will annoy everyone in the game, and ultimately yourselves. You can do it, but it may not be worth the risk for you.
You should definitely not play private games against each other. When I used to hunt out multis, one of the first things I did was search for 2 player private games, as they stand out like a sore thumb for multi behaviour. They are one of the trademarks of multis made for points dumping. It does not matter if you don't win all the games, if you win a big majority, it will look like cheating. Even if you are definitely two different people, private games where one player wins the majority can raise suspicion of points dumping, which is a bustable offence.AAFitz wrote:3. You can and should play private games against each other. It would be a waste of a game if you couldnt play against your own kid. If however, you win every one of them or a massive percentage, or win 20 straight, where you actually gain a lot of points, you will probably be investigated, but if you play some games, even the occasional public one, and they play out normal, you will probably be fine.
There are several cases of the hunters getting it wrong by simply looking at evidence applying a blanket rule. Hunters, like community members, are human - they make mistakes just like the rest of us. Reasonable or not, they make mistakes. Occassionally humans don't like to own up to mistakes and have trouble apologising for them. I'm not saying that has happened here on CC, but it is part of being human, and we have to accept that, on occassion, there are going to be mistakes made that are not rectified.AAFitz wrote:There is always the chance that your account will look like a multi account, but if you do not use it as one, you will almost certainly be fine. While epi is painting the hunters as the gestapo here, they are actually all reasonable, and put a lot of time and energy into trying to make a fair decision.
I tend to agree with e_i_pi on this particular issue...if you babysit your son's account (or he yours), you really are asking for trouble because there's no way for the multi-hunters to differentiate between that and cheating with it.e_i_pi wrote:There is no way for the mods to distinguish between babysitting and taking turns ad lib, so babysitting for your son will potentially get your account banned.
