Then send him a bleeping PM...it's not difficult. He's responded to mine in the past.Master Bush wrote:I wasn't a mod, I was a multi-hunter.sailorseal wrote:New question, why is an X-mod flaming lack?
And lol @ no flaming allowed anywhere on the forum. When did the internet become PG? Now I wanna talk to Lack, not some silly 16 yo mod.
You believe it's a shame that you should be expected to treat other people with respect and courtesy?obliterationX wrote:This site has moved into a new era of political correctness - flaming is no longer tolerated. It's a shame.
Those were some nice assumptions you just made (truthfully, I'm sorry for you), and that was a nice double post.Woodruff wrote:You believe it's a shame that you should be expected to treat other people with respect and courtesy?obliterationX wrote:This site has moved into a new era of political correctness - flaming is no longer tolerated. Nope. Never.obliterationX wrote:It's not as if flaming existed in other forums.
That's what I'm getting at. Flaming was restricted to one forum! How amazing is that!? So can't we just have that forum back? It's obvious that now flaming is everywhere.Bones2484 wrote:Nope. Never.obliterationX wrote:It's not as if flaming existed in other forums.
Vacations are awesome, where would you send us? Will it be fully covered or would we have to pay for some expenses? Come on Andy you little tease, give us all the details.AndyDufresne wrote:For those that continue to Flame "eveywhere" -- they'll get to enjoy some wonderful vacations. Almost makes me jealous. I made no assumption at all. You stated quite clearly that it was a shame that flaming is no longer tolerated. Flaming is, by definition NOT treating other people with respect or courtesy.obliterationX wrote:Those were some nice assumptions you just made (truthfully, I'm sorry for you)Woodruff wrote:You believe it's a shame that you should be expected to treat other people with respect and courtesy?obliterationX wrote:This site has moved into a new era of political correctness - flaming is no longer tolerated. It certainly DID exist in other forums, unfortunately. So far, the only "more and more" flaming is coming from those members who seem to feel it is their right to do so.obliterationX wrote:It's not as if flaming existed in other forums, wheras now I'm seeing it more and more.
Sarcasm doesn't translate well into text, in most cases. And yes, I believe you did.obliterationX wrote:That's what I'm getting at. Flaming was restricted to one forum! How amazing is that!? Edit: Unless I'm missing out on some sarcasm in your post!?
Yea. I tried to make that post dripping with as much sarcasm as I possibly could. I didn't think people actually believed that there was no flaming outside flame wars even before this change.Woodruff wrote:Sarcasm doesn't translate well into text, in most cases. Actually, I have found Option 2 to be far more effective. I remember when I was a kid being babysat by my aunt. The checkout chick wanted to check in her sons nappy bag to see if she was stealing anything. I remember my aunt didn't call for the manager. She did abuse the checkout chick though. The checkout chick cried. The manager arrived. My aunt got a discount, and she never opened her nappy bag once.Timminz wrote:If you want to talk to lack, perhaps you should send him a message.
Let's pretend I was at a supermarket, and was upset about something. I have many options of what to do about it. I'll pick two of these options for comparing and contrasting.
1. Ask to speak directly with the manager, and explain to them what my issue is.
2. Wander into the middle of the store, and shout obscenities about the management at anyone who will listen.
One of those options is likely to get be barred from the store, while the other actually has potential for resolving whatever problem there may be.
Do you notice any correlation between my situation, and your situation?
The checkout chick was an idiot. So was the manager.e_i_pi wrote:Actually, I have found Option 2 to be far more effective. I remember when I was a kid being babysat by my aunt. That's not option 2. That's another option. Targeted obscenities. Option 2 is more yelling at other customers about the owner, who is likely out playing golf that day.e_i_pi wrote:Actually, I have found Option 2 to be far more effective. I choose option 2, now go away. And I already have been barred from this store twice. It's no big deal.Timminz wrote:If you want to talk to lack, perhaps you should send him a message.

Ahh yes, the subtle AndyDufresne warning, masqueraded by that ever so clever sense of humor, followed by his friendly Emoticon. Well it should have been in "call outs".Master Bush wrote:No, it was in General Discussion calling Lack out.
See if you had any sense of style you'd pick a variation of #2 though you'd choose an isle with cans in it and start throwing them cans violently whilst yelling.Timminz wrote:If you want to talk to lack, perhaps you should send him a message.
