i like that you have some straight borders, keep it from looking so squiggly, looks nice, (im talking about the direction, not how well the borders are), i look at the map as a whole since thats how other people will see it, i dont notice the "pixely" part, and i dont think anyone else would when playing the map, it looks great

Just add a tiny bit of blur to the borders and it'll be perfect.

Someone brought up a good point of perhaps fading the country division lines a little, so they aren't so jagged and sharp.

Also, Boberz's questions is interesting. Do you plan to keep both the 'sea routes' and the 'bridges'?

how bout fixing the bridges/sea route issue like this:
- make the connection between s.duiveland and beveland a bridge just like those others between the countries around it.
- keep the sea routes in the 'wadden eilanden' continent. since this is obviously an 'island continent' (clearly visible on the map; plus 'eilanden' = 'isles'). i think as long as all the routes to/from and inside this particular continent are dotted lines, this is clear enough.

apart from this, the map looks great and finished in my opinion. would be nice to play the next round of the benelux-tournament on this map (and the one after that on the benelux map?!)

*nods* thatd make it a little more uniform.
i dont like the idea of a background picture though. the best thing about this map is its simplicity- interest comes with the colours and the wonderful texture.
Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

i like the background. there isnt much room for a big nice background. it has a flag under the legend, i think it looks good the way it is

keeps it from looking crowded and overdecorated

well i intended 2 keep both the bridges and the searoutes, and there was a bridge between Duiveland-beveland though some1 though it was to large and suggested a sea connection. (plz tell me which i should take the pic with the bridge is a few pages back

I think a bridge, it is part of the "Stormvloedkering"

And there is no bridge over the westerschelde between Walcheren en Zeeuws-Vlaanderen
