He enjoyed the party so much I think he may convert. Certainly he said he needs to become closer friends with more jewish people so he gets invited to more.

The curlette on the other hand had a much sadder introduction to Jewish culture this week - she went to her first Jewish funeral, and today attended the Shiva, or mourning.

It was for the guy that founded her dance/drama/singing school. He was ancient, and everyone (including him) knew about two weeks ago that he'd be gone by the end of this week . He died last Saturday. One of the last things that happened was that cards which the curlette and another student had written for him were read to him. Apparently he did hear, because he smiled just before he made his last exit.

Kinda sweet but very sad.
