Worst kind of music?

Obviously this is a matter of opinion... but I'm really looking for some kind of specificity. What makes you think that [insert genre] is the worst form of noise out there?

For me, new country music is the epitome of suck. Hank is probably rolling in his grave at what "country" music has turned into, which is essentially pop music with some banjo, being front-run by talentless bleach-blonde bubbly bimbos like Jessica Simpson.

I'd venture to say that this particular genre is worse than the Britneys or the Mileys, simply because it is pretending to be something its not. At least these other hacks understand their niche and stick to the top 40 pop crap.

There is a musical style in the nordic countries (scandinavia + finland) that is called dance band music. also had some success in Germany and I think they have some similarly horrible music there.
It is inspired by country and swing music and is possibly the worst music on planet earth. You dance foxtrot or jitterbug to it.

country is pretty bad, but so is classic rock. Iron Maiden, they alone are one of the worst kinds. Simply because everything is the fucking same. Every song sounds like a rallying battle cry with the same fucking drums and bass. Fucking shite.

Country, as a whole. Nothing irks me more than hick drawl turned singing, with a packing of lyrical religious nonsense twisted into poetic dumbass talk. I imagine having lit napalm all over my my body would be more enjoyable to suffer.


Also, that disrespectful hip hop/pop/whatever that ruins good, old songs is pretty bad and annoying. Recently there's "You Spin Me Round", "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", "I'm Blue (Da Ba Dee)", "Sugar", and a couple others I can remember that have been ripped off and made much worse. I actually liked the "Take a Look at my Girlfriend" sample.

A friend of mine and I joked about this recently after hearing Framing Hanley's version of Lollipop. How much do you have to suck to play someone else's hit music to get famous?

I'm not familiar with newer music, but there is this one genre, I'm not sure what you would call it but it sounds like poppish dance with elements of hip hop and always some kind of synthesizer effect on the vocals. It's seems to be all over the radio these days. This, I think is even worse than country. Anyone know that the hell im talking about?
