today all the provinces of Canada except Québec are celebrating the queen of england and the real ruler of Canada, while in Québec we are celebrating the people that made Canada as it is now a democratic country.
death to the queen and long live to democracy !

I agree. Holidays are great.
Oddly enough, we're "celebrating" a week earlier than usual, this year.

true usually it's around the 24 -25 or something like that
still love the holiday but really hate the queen of england and all her kids and relatives, poor canadians still have to bow to her and kiss her foot

I'm fortunate to get to work on this Canadian holiday. I bet the server shows me as US right now while I'm at work on lunch.

In Quebec, you have St Jean Baptist day, where one or more people die in bonfires every year.
I think this thread is clearly designed to enrage people.....I agree that it should be locked

We don't really kiss the royal family's feet in English Canada...
They aren't all that important to us, and, as stated above, they only lead Canada the same way a figure head leads a boat.

Spam is American, not Canadian, therefore this comment belongs in another thread.

No, even the British cannot be blamed for this food monstrosity (er.. wonderfully delightful and nutritious food source)
