Science doesn't require proof. Indeed the word "proof" really doesn't apply to science at all. Science looks at actual observations, which can be called "facts" and then tries to come up with the best explanation for those facts. Science is always ready to change it's explanations if new phenomenon are observed that contravene the current explanation. Science recognises that humans are far from perfect and it's entirely reasonable to expect that our current understanding of the world is not 100% accurate. This is in fairly stark contrast to the religious people who deny things like evolution (which is a fairly easily observed fact).

I think it's safe to say, where evolution is concerned, there is overwhelming "reasonable doubt".

As long as there is not 100% absolute indisputable proof for every piece of the entire process, there will be a theory of Evolution. Even so, there is now so much supporting evidence that the chance Evolution, as a whole, is wrong is impossibly small. Most of the theory actually IS fact (mutations, natural selection, changes in species over time, species divergeance, geological stratification, etc. all are proven facts)

More importantly, no one has come up with a competing theory that answers all the facts that are observable. And no, Dr Morris absolutely has not. He relies on misunderstandings, and complete falsehoods (under the guise of Christianity!) The only way the Earth could be 12,000 years old ... anything less than a few million, in fact ... is if God made the world look as if it were ancient when it really is not.
